The Effective Air Fryer Cookbook

Don’t you just love the crunchy texture and intense flavor of deep fried foods like fried chicken, French fries, breaded pork chops and calamari? It’s no wonder these items are staples, not only in fast food chains but also in the menus of many American households.

According to experts, the typical American diet is high in fat and low in nutrients. Deep frying, which is a popular cooking method in the United States and many Western countries, is pointed out as one of the reasons to blame.

So does this mean that we can no longer enjoy our deep-fried favorites? Fortunately, the answer is no.

The air fryer was designed specifically for this purpose—so that people can enjoy fried foods without the health drawbacks.

An air fryer utilizes what is called “rapid air technology” to cook food that usually requires being submerged in deep fat or oil. What the device does is circulate the air to reach up to 390 degrees F in order to fry foods like fries, chicken, chips, fish and many more.

Air frying is brilliant for chips done the proper way in Beef Dripping but now healthier. Just 5 grammes of dripping gives virtually the same result as I got when using a chip pan full of dripping. Also worth trying, chips done using about 5 grammes of butter. Delish!

How do you cook them in beef dripping? Do you melt the dripping first and then coat the chips before putting them in the air fryer?

I have a Breville Halo which tilts and rotates so I just put the little bit of dripping in with the chips and the normal operation of the Breville does the coating for me. If you're using one of the more popular non tilting fryers, yes, melt the dripping in a bowl/tub and swirl the chips around in it. Best if the chips are dry and it might be helpful if they're warmed in a microwave so that the dripping doesn't go solid immediately cold chips are dropped on it.
A bad cook book, because there is no photo in it. I just read the Amazon sample.

The author has no demonstration of walking the walking, the book is just a load of talk-the-talk (text-the-text).

It is as bad as a biology, chemistry...carpentry, plumbing, sewing "cookbook" with no pictures, utterly bad, when photos are digital and ebook is digital.

Do you use frozen chips or 'man-made' ? (or to be PC, 'human-made')

I use both depending what's more convenient or how energetic I'm feeling. I have a chipper so some times I do the chips with skin on. Using dripping with the frozen chips in the Breville isn't a problem but you may have to do a lot of shaking if you're using one of the non-breville to get the dripping distributed on frozen chips during the course of cooking.
