Loved this game when I played a couple of years ago on my PC, and wanted to give it a go on the Xbox which I purchased recently. Looking around I could see this was being released. Smyths were coming in one of the cheapest on Google but noticed they have an extra £5 off of pre-order games using code PRE5. Seems the best price around at the moment but happy to be corrected before taking the plunge. Same price too for the PS4.

Click & Collect is Free, you will need to find something 1p and above to get free delivery.

Agree they should do this on xbox and ps, never played them and the graphics are grim by todays standards, but they're supposedly amazing games!

for some reason it won't let me add it to my basket?

Doesn't work. You can get the discount but you get charged for shipping and can't add other cheap items to make it over 29 quid because you're not allowed to, apparently.

Yep, I tried this a while back, it wouldnt let me mix in-stock and pre-order items in the order.

I was hooked since Morrowind on the original Xbox.

would only buy it if it supported VR but it does so i will keep my money

Tried to get into this game but hated it.
Run around for a bit, talk to someone, watch a cutscene, run around some more, swing a sword at someone, make some spells, zzzz....BORING

No it doesn't which is the biggest disappointment in the remaster, i don't really care about the improved graphics i could already do that on the PC with mods withouth this version, this game would be so awesome in VR but unfortunately it does not have it.

play it in cinema mode,

Have amazon been known to price match smyths? would be a really good price at £26.99 with the prime pre-order code.

I've just been reading about the PS4 limited mods being announced, but I've played the game on the last generation enough, the graphics will be nice, but I need more content to shell out for a new game.
I think I'll wait and see what mods will be available on the PS4 before buying. I don't really understand what limited mods means in actual things that will be available.

N.B. The code PRE5 is only valid on the following games:

FIFA 17
Watch Dogs 2
Recore
Gears of War 4
Destiny: The Collection
Forza Horizon 3
Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition
Battlefield 1
Titanfall 2
WWE 2K17
Gran Turismo Sport
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Final Fantasy XV
Mafia III
Dishonored 2
The Last Guardian
Elder Scrolls V Skyrim

I've had it work on others, but they then charge the full price at dispatch.

You could describe any game like that to make it sound bad? What games are you into?

BioShock, Dishonored, Doom, Splinter Cell, COD, Battlefield, Tomb Raider, Far Cry, Alien Isolation, Wolfenstein, loads more....

There's like 2 cut scenes in Skyrim. One at the end of the Thieves guild and another one towards the end of the game. Both of which last under a minute. They aren't even proper cut scenes. Nothing like the ones you get in Mass Effect etc. There's also no spell crafting in the game. There was in Oblivion, but not in this game. I can only assume you're getting it mixed up with another game or trolling. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though.

Having bought the game on 360, PS3 & PC and completing main stories on each, I'm sure the PS4 version will find its way into my collection. I have Oblivion on the 3 formats too.

It's funny though despite being so similar, I've never really got into the Fallout games. Guess I just prefer the Elder Scrolls worlds, to the post apocalyptic worlds of Fallout.

Well I like all of those games too but I could say COD is just running around shooting things endlessly, Tomb raider is just walking around collecting things, shooting things, trying not to fall off a cliff. All games can sound boring if you try

I am VERY SORRY I said cutscenes - that was a mistake. Blimey - some of you lot are pedantic! I meant scenes where you have to listen to loads of dialogue or converse for ages before you can move on (like the bit at the start where you're travelling along in a wooden cart, etc..). Technically they're not cutscenes but you know what I mean.

And no, there may be no "spell crafting", but there is "magicka", potions, spell tomes, etc..

If it did not have the dialogue and magic then it would not be a very good RPG. The game is about immersion and it does a decent job of doing that this is still one of my most played games on any console.

I am the same as you regarding Fallout games. After playing Skyrim people said you have got to play Fallout so I tried 3 and could not get into it at all. Then tried again last year, same result. I have watched Fallout 4 though and that seems to be a better put together game and its cheap these days so might give fallout one more try.

It would need to run at 60 fps for it to run in VR not sure what the frame rate is but its no where near 60fps.

To be fair, you're right! This type of game clearly isn't for me. In my defense though, I didn't say that the game isn't any good - just that I hated it.

does anyone know if lydia will still be sworn to carry my burdens?

I know the description said add an item for 1p for delivery. but I just bought the game with the code at £28.99 with free delivery so not sure how that worked out!

Might run at 60fps on new PS4 Pro though, Bethesda did say they will be supporting it too.
We shall see.

Can't find anywhere on their website that it'll arrive day of release. Do they dispatch for release day delivery?

Yeah, same I think you'd burn yourself out if they played each series simultaniously, you'd start to see the cracks in these games easier (from experience).

VR is the next '3d gaming' I.e - FAD! better yet the next kinect. I highly doubt it'll be worth it down the line. judging every game because it doesn't support VR is ridiculous! do yourself a favour and get over it already.

The Add to Basket button is greyed out, so I can't pre-order..........or am I being REALLY dense?!?! (most likely!)

Edit: Not being stupid, other games have "pre-order" button but Skyrim doesn't for some reason! Have contacted Smyths for help, maybe too close to release date?

Further Edit: Can't pre-order at the moment because "unfortunately we have reached our current pre order quota we are working on increasing this if possible" - Well that's just great!
