It's a brilliant port. It's my most played game on the Switch, strangely - logged over 250 hours on it.

If anyone's thinking about getting it that's never played it - keep save files to a minimum. Too many and it causes crazy corruptions in the game data and you'll be resetting the software a lot. As I can testify.

Just bought it and good to know on that last point! Maybe two saves at the most?
Played it on Xbox and PC, but £25 for portability + not having to change the game cartridge seems pretty excellent to me. So much I still haven't explored!

I played it on the 360, PS3 and PS4, about 250 hrs on PS4 to complete. But, still looking forward to playing portable.
Half a dozen seems fine. It's very easy to get into the habit of having 30+ saves when you come across different game scenarios and you want a clean "restore" point to work from were you to mess something up. The problem only really manifests itself later on in the game which is particularly annoying as you're doing more more arduous and difficult tasks at that point.

Yep, have a great gaming pc too but I just like the idea of being able to slog through it in the living room.

Living room? More like bed and/or toilet

As someone who has spent over 5k hours in this game on PC I would highly recommend for those who have not played (obviously). This is a game that, with it's story line will pull you into a wild adventure across the lightest and darkest areas of a medieval life, when i say lightest I mean the randomness of the NPCs that are around you. May the thumb be with you!

Man... Over 5000 hours? That’s almost a year of waking hours on that game. I love gaming but think about everything you could have achieved in your life with that year.
no way this game should be considered on sale at £25.

Are the language settings ok swapping to English? I looked at other region prices on the eshop prices website and it had a warning about language settings.

In my experience (with other games) it just downloads and plays in the language you have set on your Nintendo switch.
I am really tempted with this as played it on the pc and xbox but never got too far as never had the time where as on the switch it can be played anywhere. What's it like graphically on the switch? On the PC it looks stunning.
Loved it on 360. Loving it in VR. Think it may be a bit overkill getting it on switch as well...otherwise I'd be all over this. Good price for digital.

I count playing games as an achievement! Much better than idle time
Plays great on the gpd win 2
Got this yesterday and had a good few hours on it so far, graphics are as a remember but can't blame them for that, still a really good game imo and being able to play with a pro controller and then grab the console and go the loo feels like true freedom xD not the most hygienic I know but my advice would be to play until you need to wipe then put it down until you've washed and dried your hand (and bum if you're one of them buday weirdos) now the only problem I have is dedicating to one character and not wanting to make 10 new ones and deciding on a class... Same problem I had when I was 15 if I remember correctly...

He's probably far more skilled at the game than other people and obviously enjoyed playing it for that long.

In an existence where 99.9% of achievements and hobbies, even socially accepted and praised ones, are ultimately pointless, I think shaming people for spending their time on something they enjoy that doesn't negatively impact themselves or others is rather short sighted and self-centred.

i have about 8/9k hours gaming in total probably more with hand helds. I'm only just on my first job so 80% of my free time used to be gaming. I cycle a lot, read and go out with friends more often now though, people complain at gamers but adults don't even emerse themselves properly especially when they watch "the soaps".
Seriously cant resist this and I played it on xbox 360, pc and then ps vr
So far, I've

Played Skyrim and the dlc, finish all of it in terms of main story and some. 100% achievements. Just one character was over 1000+ hours played.

Then i got it for the pc, same deal and the mods kept me playing again.

Then Special Edition come to Xbox One, 100% achievements.

Played on pc when they gave the free update for owning the OG Skyrim.

So, the question is.... did i then purchase this, again, just to play it portable?

You're damn right i did. Heat🔥
