Brilliant game, criminal that it didn't sell better makes the chances of a sequel lower and lower. Purchases for £46 on release day and it was worth every penny

Agreed. Games with no online component always seem to lose their price so quickly. Many in the industry are talking about the oncoming death of single player offline games and that would be a tragedy for gaming in my opinion.

This will be £20 in no time.

Yep. I'm fairly interested in the game but you just knew that it would be one that would drop rapidly and so it has proven. You will definitely get this for under 25 on black friday and possibly even 20 as above. Still voted hot of course as it is a very good price for today and the cheapest going.

bethesda games always go down quick

Indeed, heat for the current best price, but this bad boy has Black Friday written all over it.

Loved the first game and played most of the DLC. Looking forward to more craziness.

First of all Heat.

But I have to say I just finished the first game yesterday and I don't think I enjoyed it much. It start off quite good, but by the end I just wanted it to finish. From what I've seen of the sequel it looks much better, but I'm worried they will take a turn in the game and make it the slog it was to finish the first.

Will wait for Black Friday, that way I won't waste too much should they fall into the same pattern as last time.

It’s leagues above the first game, with a great story to boot

I picked it up from CEX coz I had loads of in store credit. Awesome game. Really enjoying it.

How is the ammo scenario in the new game. In the first one I ran out and got myself stuck after a safe point with no ammo. Is this game as harsh?

Good to hear. I'm playing the first one at the moment and absolutely loving it.

It’s all down to the route you choose, stealth is a very viable option this time around, on top of that you have semi-open world spaces which reward exploration with resources, weapons and ammo. Completing side mission also help in that regard, not to mention you can now craft ammo (you have the option to do this from your weapon wheel though doing it from designated work benches are encouraged since it costs a lot less resources).

I admire the first for its ambition and ideas, but the sequel is definitly better executed and is more consistent in its quality. I also really enjoyed Sebastian’s arc, it’s went to surprisingly emotional places

Not at all, stealth is incredibly overpowered especially when you unlock the corner kill perk. You can get through most of the game by luring enemies and stealth killing them. Bosses are bullet sponges but being able to craft more bullets from gunpowder makes this a non issue.

Couldn't agree more with this. I believe game companies are stuck between a rock and a hard place with this. Overall I believe the reason for the oncoming death of the single player is online.

I don't have any issue with online but looking at GTA V and the monetisation of the game, it leaves me worried about Red Dead Redemption 2. Anyway I think game companies are going to have do a single & multi or there game won't survive unfortunately. I myself like story games so tend to play single and move onto something else.

This one is a little more forgiving mate You'll be fine

Thank you all... I will order this.

You can't put a price on this game, I could've spent £100 on this and still been happy, its phenomenal.

Dissapointed thats the case, being low on ammo adds to the fear in these games, if you have tons of ammo its too easy.

Preferred the first Evil Within. Had better individual chapters and levels were all unique. Also much better bosses and original baddies. I even liked the fact matches were used for burning downed bodies. The sequel feels very repetitive with lots of back tracking and same baddies respawned throughout the game. The first part of the game is survival horror then half way moves over to action paced.

great just as got it from shopto it gets cheaper.

This and Wolfenstein will be £20 - £25 in Game Black Fridays / Lead up to Christmas deals. Depends if you can be bothered waiting for a couple of quid.

My backlog is huge, so can give it a wait. But desperate to play them both

Got this from Game for £29.99 at the weekend, couldn't wait any longer..

Great game, love the open world feel with side missions etc and going straight in on Nightmare mode has been extremely difficult.. Very little ammo, difficult enemies that can kill you in a couple of hits. Proper survival horror

Got Wolfenstein 2 Day One. Cod WW2 will be bought on BF. TEW2 will be bought at some point next year - when it's £15-odd.

TEW2 is definitely on the radar... But so are a few other games as well.

As a lapsed COD fan, the new one is great. War mode is fantastic, despite been stolen from Battlefield

Fantastic game, well worth the money, improves upon the first game in every way. So good that I feel bad about buying pre-owned at CEX and will pick it up again new once the DLC comes out

Enjoyed the first one, will pick up the complete edition of this once released (too busy to play now)

I mainly try to only support Japanese and Eastern European developers now as i find they are a lot less political correct, which disturbingly is now starting to feature more and more in games!
