Cheapest I've seen this on BluRay.

Controversial, haunting and popular from the moment it opened, William Friedkin's masterpiece The Exorcist, now marks its historic Blu-ray premiere in a 2-disc Edition featuring stunning Hi-Def presentations of the Original 1973 Theatrical Version and the 2000 Extended Director's Cut.

The terrifying and realistic tale of an innocent girl inhabited by a terrifying entity, her mother's frantic resolve to save her and two priests - one doubt-ridden, the other a rock of faith - joined to battle the ultimate evil, always leaves viewers breathless. Winner of two Academy Awards(R) and nominated for an additional eight including Best Picture, this greatest supernatural thriller of all time still astonishes and unsettles like no other movie.

Special Features:
• Remastered Director’s Cut and Theatrical Cut
• Audio commentaries (two by Friedkin)
• New Filming Exorcist documentary (40 mins): Features intimate footage of cast and crew. Make-up tests, stunt sequences, and more. This is never-before-seen footage from cinematographer Owen Roizman that, for the first time, puts viewers on the set of this groundbreaking film with Linda Blair, Max von Sydow and the film-makers
• New Exorcist Locations (10 mins): Featurette on the various shooting locations of the film
• New Exorcist: Different Versions (10 mins): Featurette on the various versions of the film

Wow!
This must be at least 10 years old!

Funny, i was just watching Paranormal Activity and really wished it was The Exorcist instead. Heat added.

Not on blu ray though!

Nice Spot Andy

The projectile green vomit in blu-ray is going to be stunning.

This was the first pre-recorded VHS video I ever bought...I think it was around £25 back in the eighties, just before it was labelled video nastie and got banned!

...great film, severely tempted but might just hold out 'til it reaches a fiver!

Is anyone else having problems trying to pay? Apparently they are currently having problems with the site which is rejecting payments....

I just made a preorder game purchase with no problems a couple of minutes ago.

6% Quidco btw

Hmm, I was asked which browser I was using, when I told them it was Firefox they reckoned that was working ok, perhaps it's the type of credit card I'm using? I'll try later, knowing my luck it will probably have gone up or be out of stock by then!

Finally got it ordered with a VISA credit card, wouldn't accept Mastercard for some reason.

Does it come with a slipcase?

Yes it does, it also arrived very quickly as well!

Tempted......Does anyone know if the trilogy is available as a boxset? I know the sequels are crap but I like to have the complete collection

Don't think the sequels are available on bluray yet. Don't like Exorcist II but Exorcist III is pretty good.
And as for the Paul Schrader/Rene Harlin prequels... I find it'd easier to forget that they were ever made.

Oh yeh I forgot about the prequels too

You want a lot of crap?
Wait til it gets into PoundLand and plenty will tell you it is then. X)

Ah, the 70s memories!

Me and four other burly teenage biker mates seriously debating whether we dare go see this at the Cecil Cinema in Hull!

Such was the hype surrounding The Exorcist, and the groundbreaking nature of this film at the time.

I first saw it back in the 80's whilst it was still banned and just found it to be completely over rated. Very much like the film of your avatar too. Hyped up due to cult status reached by bannings and controversy.

If neither of the films had been banned i'd be surprised if anyone would be talking about them now.

Thanks again Andy, heated.
