Good time to dive in with the amazon prime tv show coming soon(ish)

The first novel in the Wheel of Time series - one of the most influential and popular fantasy epics ever published.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again.

But one truth remains, and what mortal men forget, the Aes Sedai do not . . .

What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the shadow.

I read these up to something like book 9 but never finished the series. They are good high fantasy books, in a basic good versus evil story.
Amazing series of books. I would recommend TWoT to anyone!!
Same. The last few written by Brandon Sanderson? Felt a bit rushed and didn't tie up all the loose ends IMO. Google the words, pages, characters of this series it is incredible how much detail is in them. Just over 4 million words in total for the series!!!!!
I absolutely loved this series.
I'm on book six of this series at the moment, really enjoying it! Looking forward to the Amazon series too
To those who managed to finish reading this series, I salute you. I really like the world and lore of these books but it can be quite a slog to get through... Got to somewhere in book 7 before getting totally lost.
I got to around book 7 when the author was still alive, but the gaps between each book meant I couldn't remember who the characters were, let alone the fine detail. Decided to read them again from the beginning a few years ago and read them all through, took about a year and I didn't stop for any breaks into other books. Didn't enjoy it quite as much the second time and the ending felt rushed and bit underwhelming in my opinion.

I suspect if I had came in new and read less fantasy they would still be great.
Great price but I couldn't get in to them. I read a couple and got bored. The second one I skipped forward a couple of hundred pages and didn't miss anything. Great price just not for me. Heat added though.
Huge series (14 books) with massive world building to go with it. It's my favourite fantasy sequence, but I have to admit it's an indulgence, a sort of comfort read. If you don't appreciate the writing style (gossipy, with an occasional raised eyebrow) after the first few books, don't continue, it doesn't get any better. You'll be skirt smoothing and braid tugging like a good 'un!
Great books, great price, expect this to be hotter once the Amazon series comes out
