Im not sure if this film is any good, it has good reviews. It is £17.99 at Play (also in 2 for £22) and £15.99 at HMV (2 for £22 aswell)

This in the 3 for 2 at Amazon so im not sure if they have some new titles or prices in the offer as I have never seen it there before, just looking thru them now and I think there might be some price changes or maybe its just me getting tired on my nights at work and seeing things!! Anyway heres a bit about the film below.

The Fountain is an odyssey about one man's thousand-year struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th century Spain, where conquistador Tomas Creo commences his search for the Tree of Life, the legendary entity believed to grant eternal life to those who drink of its sap. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved wife Isabel (Rachel Weisz). Traveling through deep space as a 26th century astronaut, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for more than a millennium....

I watched for Hugh Jackman but very nearly switched it off. Drags on a little.

It does indeed.... ludicrous ending.....

Heat added good effort
Kind of appropriate heat now at 4 1 degrees

Replaces Robocop as cheapest in 3 for 2 Blu-ray offer

film very poor,,,but at least its cheap,,,

Yes, i was really looking forward to this film but it is not a very good film. I love hugh jackman but this was a pretty dire film.

I really enjoyed this film, thought it was very trippy. Heat!

Hmmm trippy lol. I should have watched under the influence!

It's a bit of a Marmite film you either love it or hate it.

I love it
easily one of my all time favourites
You have to watch it with a open mind and forget all your preconceived ideas of how a film should be!
It makes for a refreshing change

Edit:
Watching it under the influence will totally blow your mind

Totally agree with this. I love it too. Not really a film, more like a concept album. A beautiful film.

Reminiscent of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind in that the story is secondary to the emotion.

i love this film too, one of my favourites but most people i've shown it to don't like it

Excellent film, and an amazing soundrack. Hot!

This film is, quite simply, stunning.

An emotional story about the futility of avoiding death crossed with the power of love, spun over three lifetimes fusing metaphysics, time travel and Mayan history. Petri dishes used for special effects backdrops, multilinear storytelling, interweaving stories to keep even the most astute observer on guard – hey, at least it isn't guilty of being unoriginal.

I find this film absolutely demands rewatches, and to put it on Blu-Ray is a godsend – it's made for it.

If you like this, check out Solaris (2002) as well, the thinking man's film (I don't mean that patronisingly by the way).

god this is a good film, and stunning, bet it looks great in high def.

yeah dont watch this for the storyline, its a misjointed love film. but a fantasic one.

Got to agree with Arc'Tan'Gent ( although Tarkovsky's original solaris is far superior to the remake)
Just don't expect to be spoon-fed - brain is requiresd , and this improves greatly with subsequent watches

Each to their own, but imo this total existentialist bulls**t...What was Hugh Jackman thinking of?!?:x

This is without question the worst film I have ever seen. Not even worth a pound, cold from me.

Why existentialist bs? I mean I can see the parallels with the workings of Nietzsche, you do you contend that it is maybe a bad implementation of these ideas or something else?
