Book 1 in the Millennium Series free again on Amazon Kindle

'Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared from a family gathering on the island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger clan. Her body was never found, yet her uncle is convinced it was murder - and that the killer is a member of his own tightly knit but dysfunctional family.

He employs disgraced financial journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the tattooed, truculent computer hacker Lisbeth Salander to investigate. When the pair link Harriet's disappearance to a number of grotesque murders from forty years ago, they begin to unravel a dark and appalling family history.

But the Vangers are a secretive clan, and Blomkvist and Salander are about to find out just how far they are prepared to go to protect themselves.'

It is not as good as the first 3, but still a good read. Better than many other books out there.
Thanks
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,The Girl Who Played With Fire & The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest.Got all three on dvd.Never watched them. Then bought them all again, extended versions. All films a bum numbing three hours long. There's a break after ninety minutes on each film.Watched them all over Christmas, the first two in one day.Won't download the book.
First one is great. Second one somewhat strangled by his PC agenda instead of telling a good story.

It's hardly snobby to stick to the original Author's works though.

it is snobby, both authors are great, no need to diss the second one, that's snobbery
What did Anyone think of the Daniel Craig film- I enjoyed(mostly) which made me want to read the books- but original films supposed to be better?
wanted to read this for a while, forgot all about it - thanks for sharing!

In order, I'd say the books were best, then the Swedish films, then the Daniel Craig version (but it was still good).
Thanks! Deserved hear them!
