The single malt that started it all. The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is a perfectly balanced single malt scotch whisky with a lively gold colour and playful interlacing of floral and fruit aromas. Representing The Glenlivet's signature style, this classic single malt whisky is first matured in traditional oak, before spending time in American oak casks which impart notes of vanilla and gives the whisky its distinctive smoothness. The mineral-rich water that comes from Josie's Well helps form the flavours during mashing and fermentation, whilst the specific height and width of the copper stills add a delicate yet complex character. Keep a bottle of this scotch whisky on hand for every occasion. Sold with its signature box, it is also the perfect gift to celebrate a special occasion.

Serving suggestion: Drink to your own preference, straight up or with a drop of water.
Guaranteed eighteen years of age, Distilled, matured and bottled in Scotland

Why on earth is this cold?! It isn’t the Founders Reserve. It’s the 12 year old. Great whisky. Great price.
Very solid, if unspectacular, 85/100 from Ralfy recently.

Maybe the Kack Daniels brigade are swarming the thread. 😃
Prior to the introduction of NAS whisky from so many distillers, Glenlivet 12 used to be the second best selling single malt in the world (after Glenfiddich 12). They are both entry level single malt. Could generally get it for £20 when on offer.Glenlivet 12 was then discontinued (due to supply not meeting the demand they say) and founders reserve (NAS) was introduced.
After few years of absent, Glenlivet 12 was reintroduced with an RRP of £38!
Brilliant Diageo!

Well said, however if I'm not mistaken Pernod Richard own Glenlivet not Diageo? I'm normally happy to knock some of the decisions Diageo make, so I feel weird sticking up for them.

Spot on. Although you might be going back those 12 years to be getting it for £20

Agreed.
Prior to Glenlivet 12 temporarily being withdrawn from UK supply, it was typically £24 when on an instore.offer.

Prices will inevitably increase with supply and demand.
I remember paying just £18 for Glenfiddich 18yr old in 2006 and stocking up. Those were the days.
Agreed. A good dram at a good price. I don't see it cheaper.

The point I was trying to make is that it is not worth £28. It is an entry level, easy drinking 12 YO
