Just cracked open a bottle of FF0717 that I’ve had in my collection for a couple years, absolutely beautiful stuff, the high abv just allows so much more flavour to come through, it is by no means harsh in flavour, just convincing myself to buy another bottle to compare

Yup. This is still a fair price for an excellent dram though.

So I finished 2017 bottle and have opened 2022 and there is certainly difference in flavour and alcohol burn even though 2017 was 60.03% and 2022 is 58.03%. I can smell/taste green apple flavour more on the 2022 one and it taste much better than 2017 of which I still have one more bottle in stock. Just a bit of info for those buying now as you can still find 2017 and 2022 versions online. I ordered this from amazon a few weeks ago and although the photo says 2017, they sent 2022 and some other people had the same on that post. (edited)

Thanks for this great and in-depth reply, I will be keen to try the new expression as I am currently drinking through my 2017 and love it, so if you’re saying the 2022 is better it’s deffo worth getting maybe the slightly lower abv is allowing more subtle flavours to come through
