I've bought idect brand phones twice before and twice I've been disappointed. The sound quality isn't great and the build quality is suspect. Yes, they look fabulous, but their looks aren't backed up by their performance. Style over substance. However, that said, £80 down to £25 is pretty good and this is a deals site after all. So, if you want the looks and aren't bothered by the quality, go right ahead. If you want a decent, phone, look elsewhere.

It looks like neither have answerphone; that must have been a mistake in the description Tesco entered.

No answerphone OP you need to amend your description.

lol, Oh yes, oh dear.

Just returned a single one to Tesco - very poor incoming sound on loudspeaker and a spidery font on the readout means that anyone over 40 will have to answer the phone with their specs on

I agree. I bought 2 last week. Rubbish phones. Poor sound poor backlight can't read any keys etc. Don't waste your money. Can't believe the was £80 price

Not on the one I'm reading..using ur link you posted....I've even read the specification & description by searching for it myself on the website, mentions nothing of recording time, it simply says:
Answering machine N

This phone does not have an answer machine, single or double but still hot at this price

Wouldn't bother the quality is rubbish we bought these on offer last year wish we hadn't

Idect phones are cheap tat, look to replace this handset after 2 years max. I don't even think it's planned obsolescence just poor quality. I have had nothing but problems with Idect phones I have about 5 handsets and a few base units on a cupboard collecting dust

Only if you have auto answer on. I have these, they are fab. I just use 1571, paid £35 for the triple

yes you can join 2 pairs together using only one base with phone cable
other 3 just plug into a mains plug socket
ive done it
also paired them up with my philips cd235 phonee with answephone
as well as paired the philips up with these....(but answerphone didnt work on the philips so reverted back)
also this deal was posted last week before all went out of stock (singles, doubles and triples) HERE
somebody did post the single didnt have an answerphone on it
it was a mistake in the description
