The golf club reduced from £28.99 to £9.09 with playstation plus or £11.99 without.

There have been cheaper options by going through the Canada Playstation store. This however is a lot more straight forward.

Thanks

Ok but the Canada option when it comes up again (inevitable) if you are not in a rush is very cheap. Around 4 X times cheaper and it's not rocket science. Pretty straight forward and worth it for sure for other games also.

what's it like ? been on the fence for ages always had tiger Woods but latest one was such a let down (rory mcilroy) so would be interested in a good golf game

Its the best golf game currently available for the PS4. Practically every course you can think of has been created and available to download for free. Beware though the reason it has come down in price is there is Golf club 2 coming out soon. Personally i would hang on till then

I can't get used to the control method it's spoilt it for me it's a down and then forward motion on the stick.

It's very realistic, Women not allowed to play.

Be aware that this is not the Collector's Edition so you won't get Seasons and you'll be missing a few templates (limiting your choice of user-generated content).
The upgrade costs about £7 if memory serves.

It is the best golf game for PS4 but it has a lot of network problems (dropouts, 10 second delay seeing your opponent's shot, difference in what you see and what your opponent sees (sometimes a miss will show as going in for others), tour / tournament continuation past the 1st course)
It's definitely worth the money though - it's a little difficult to start with but becomes very natural-feeling within a few hours

TGC2 is scheduled for Q1 2017 btw.
