There’s so much to think about with a new baby and ensuring correct room temperature is maintained is an important part of safe and comfortable sleep. Health professionals recommend that the temperature of the baby’s sleeping environment should ideally be maintained between 16 to 20 degrees centigrade.

The Gro-egg is a unique colour-changing nursery thermometer that provides safety reassurance at a glance, reminding you to change the baby’s bedding, clothing or adjust the room temperature if required -making it a nursery essential for new parents. If parents are using the Grobag baby sleep bag, the Gro-egg is the perfect partner, helping to highlight which tog to use.

The Gro-egg also works as a gentle night light, offering enough light to check on your baby in a darkened room.

Great offer. I've had mine 3 years and find it invaluable!

I was waiting for the new one to come out... Not sure if it's worth it though! It's 29.99
I literally just bought this three days ago!
Thanks! My 3 year old won’t give up hers for her little brothers haha. This along with their clothing / covers guide is great when you’re so sleep deprived you can’t even be bothered to think.
Ooh the new one looks good too...
Ours is still going strong after nine years.
I have this - really good for new parents.

Useful for about a month - Once you know the temperature is fine, you hardly look at it, or need it.

Be warned the charging cable is unusual and proprietary which is a bit of a pain as you can't use any other USB charging cable with it.

So consider V2 if you dont mind the price as it is USB.
I’ve been a parent for 3 years and I still use it! My daughter knows if the egg is yellow she needs a vest under her pyjamas haha... she also likes it better than any other night light we’ve tried.
Just ordered it and got a free Mam bottle too through the current baby wish list promotion as I have Prime
Great price. We've found ours really useful.

If you can't afford heating or a Gro-Egg but remain keen to monitor baby's bedroom temperature after the gas has been disconnected, just write "4.0c" (or the average local temperature) in black marker on an old plastic kinder egg. Whenever you feel curious take a look at it close up through one eye.

Adjust once during the winter evenings so that it remains accurate overnight. If you live in North Scotland, simply add a 'minus'.

Hot.

What? Seriously though, what are you on about?
I have one bought from Asda for £7.99 I must say these are very good compare to about 15 other room temperatures I have. It's very fast.
Having said that here's 2 things I wish this had
1 humidity
2 time/clock

Even with their upgraded version 2 they didn't add more feature

New parents bear in mind many monitors show temperature. Worth checking before forking out
My health visitor gave me a few cardboard thermometers which I found useful as space was limited in the baby’s room.

33183909-MTzfm.jpgQuite common, you often get them free with baby sleeping bags.
Back up to £14.99 now
Anyone else feel that the yellow setting is a bit on the chilly side?

21c is about right, not too hot or too cold.
Just saw this and thought I'd missed out as it has now gone up. Went onto live chat with an Amazon advisor and they've honoured the £11.99 price match.
Good price but if you have hive nest or any smart thermostat you can just put it in the babies room and if it drops to low the heating will come on and sort it
