Full list of PS4 games here, if anybody wants to pick one (_;)
It's criminal that old games are being 'remastered' to play on new consoles and we have to pay extra for the privilege. I mean it's not like we have to buy upgraded versions of PC programs to work with the latest operating systems on our computers... oh, wait (_;)
Somewhere, some place, there is some paint drying.

If you find it, you can watch it dry, instead of playing these games.

Or, you could just Press X to..

Alternatively, people should try to understand the reasons most sensible people put over rather than just parroting the usual 1 dimensional guff and applying it to all the nay sayers.

No one has to buy anything, no one is holding a gun to anyone's head and so on, but if people think that's the long and short of the issue, then they're missing the point a lot of people are making when it comes to remasters.

Take Capcom for example, they've now put a lot of their resources into remastering old games, resources that could have been put into new ips, better sequels and so on. Instead, they're giving us unoriginal old titles. And why not? It's easy money. Rather than seeing much evolve, this will just be another carbon copy of last gen, with the only difference being games now come with a new lick of paint.

I can't recall another gen of consoles sticking so closely to the last. So much so we now have the exact same games coming thick and fast.

I personally have no issue with remasters as it's allowing me to play games I didn't have a chance to play on the PS3, but I can fully appreciate what the nay sayers are complaining about.
Many thanks. I've been holding off for these to drop in price. Both are amazing games.
am i just unable to search or do they really not sell heavy rain for ps3?
did find 2souls for 5.79 ps3 though

I don't have an issue with remasters either because I never I had a PS3. I had a 360 last gen and there was a lot of people like me who moved over from the 360 to the PS4 for this gen not just for a change but to have the chance to play exclusives like the Last of Us and the Uncharted games. If there wasn't a market for it these remasters wouldn't come out.
Fantastic price I was going to get it but then I just ordered it from Amazon for an extra tenna as it’s a 60GB download!

And you are the reason why so many HD remasters exist for the PS4. It's just common sense really and means that Sony don't need to offer any kind of backwards compatibility as well.
Woah is this price for both!? I presumed it was each...
Quick question, I loved heavy rain but hated the controls, are they the same here? Where you move the pad around and what have you? Cba if it's the same.

Yes those are still there.

And miss out on exclusives like halo 5 and gears of war 4. I had both consoles last gen and both this gen (plus wii u and pc). I got them on release day in Nov 2013 but now available at under £200 why not have best of both worlds?

I like to play older games, but that's what PS Now or Xbox BC is for. There's not really a need for all these remasters if those exist.
The card is 15£,is it possible to pay the remaining pound with another form of payment or am I missing something?

If what has been said about NEO is true then they should just be able to patch that in and it shouldn't require a re-release.

Saying that, Sony are proper greedy **** so nothing would surprise me unfortunately.

Already got an Xbox one in the house and played Halo 5 and Quantum Break on it but I was never. GoW fan. Also have a gaming PC too so I can play Arma 3, Day Z etc.
I currently have a PS3 and have B2S still in its wrapper for years). I don't yet have a PS4. I couldn't care less how many older games they remaster (HD'fy), in fact i'm all for it (so long as next gen titles keep on coming for when I do get a PS4). All the moaning comes across as very childish.
I mean, when the hardware moved from DVD to Blu-ray films are we all somehow supposed to be entitled to the HD versions just because we had the DVD? Your answer should be "No".
People need to get a grip, except the changes in hardware and quit moaning like 6 year olds!!!

Anyone interested should just watch a playthrough on YouTube as both are basically interactive movies and have zero replayability.

I agree with you until we get into the idea of digital marketplaces. If you buy a game on Steam/iOS/Android then that game will work across platforms for years and years to come regardless of whether or not you upgrade to a new phone/PC/whatever.

It is only the Xbox and PlayStation that have pushed digital marketplaces where your digital purchases are only worth anything until the next generation of hardware hits and IMHO that approach is wrong. Both have made small efforts towards supporting it now but there is still a lot of stuff that Sony could make cross-platform but have chosen not to do so on purpose.

Don't underestimate the greed of these companies. They will remaster some PS4 games which is really sad if you think about getting remasters of games from the same gen. Either way upgraded consoles will kill console gaming so hope those are just rumours from sites that are desperate for clicks. Theres no way "Neo" actually exists or its just a PS4 slim.

But that's kind of defeating the purpose. Those games allow you to make your own experience and include different branching paths. In fact in many ways they are far more dynamic than most modern big budget games, especially the likes of Battlefield and CoD.

I guess the problem with them, if you want to call it that, is that games like Heavy Rain require some sort of minimal intelligence and artistic understanding in order for someone to be able to comprehend what they are trying to do. You might be better off sticking with FIFA I think.

I don't see the point in paying for movie games as I get the exact same experience as someone who paid full price and multiple endings or cutscenes don't bother me either as there are videos of those as well. Your right i'll stick to FIFA as at least its a videogame not a movie.

First of all, it's 'you're'. I don't usually correct spelling mistakes on forums but you have just made the same one twice in a row.

Secondly, I have played these games and I'm telling you that playing them yourself is not the same as watching someone else play them but to each their own. At least we are agreed that the likes of FIFA are far more up your street than anything that attempts to be unique or meaningful.
I might grab these as I quite liked until dawn

Great summary of both sides.

I'm also enjoying the opportunity to play remastered games as I had skipped the PS3 generation.

I'm still confused why these nay sayers would expect that some companies should invest more of their resources in new IPs or better sequels.

These companies must have made the decision and decided it was not worth the risk. They are only answerable to their shareholders and if they believe it is in their best interests to not take that risk then I could understand that. This is their investment decision.

If a fan disagrees with their decision then they could decide not to support them by not purchasing these games. Why they get so angry as well I don't know.

It can also mean funny although I didn't find his/her comment funny, maybe just having an off day.
Anger is a choice, in this case it is unwise to be angry over a video game. You always have a choice in how you feel.
Why is there so much hate? The games clearly look better on PS4 and if you missed the PS3 releases, then you get to enjoy them on a better, faster, higher-resolution console.

Games cost a hell of a lot to make. Woe betide a company that makes a game with high production values and who is willing to take a risk to follow their own path should try to recoup their investment.
