This is the single disc version, not the special edition. Big budget Korean horror film and a snip at one pound if you have a Fopp about.

Synopsis: selling his wares to passers by along Seouls Han River, life is peaceful for a small-time snack bar owner and his dim-witted son. However, the tranquillity of their day-to-day lives is shattered when a mutant creature emerges from the depths of the Han and embarks on a blood-thirsty rampage. While many of the local citizens are scrambling to escape, the father, son and other assorted family members must seek out their newfound nemesis, in order to rescue a relative.

Nice find, will be looking for this tomorrow.

Have to say that I was pretty disappointed by this...it all started off so well and mysterious, but it was downhill from there imo.
Good price though!

Brilliant movie

Korean cinema is among my favourites - only French cinema competes … Korean cinema is among my favourites - only French cinema competes really...mainly because they have no boundaries when it comes to adult themes (see: Seul Contre Tous, it makes Irreversible look quite tame!).I thought this was OK, but as somebody above said, the interest factor dies down, pretty much as soon as the monster escapes really.Other awesome Korean movies I enjoyed:Old Boy -obviously!Thirst (Bakjwi) - My personal favouriteA Tale of Two Sisters (Janghwa, Hongryeon)Peppermint Candy (Bakha Satang)There's too many list, and I feel I've only touched the surface...probably some real gems out there

Oldboy could be the greatest film of all time!

This film is fantastic.

I actually saw the actor who plays the leading role when I was in Seoul last year.

Good movie this. Yeh the CGI is great. When you see the monster running by the side of the river attacking people in the daylight looks pretty real.

I watched a Korean film about Table Tennis recently (I know it sounds lame but it was quite good) . The Korean Table Tennis team are the underdogs against the Chinese team and the cinematography of the matches is really good. Does anybody know what this film is called?

Good movie.

Add Memories of Murder, A Dirty Carnival & The Chaser to that list, the latter is supposedly getting the remake treatment this year so watch it before it gets butchered by Hollywood.
One Night in Mongkok is another good Asian crime film.

Cheers for that - some good recommendations there that I will check out.

I'd add Three Extremes as a good taster if you wan to dip your feet in Asian horror cinema - Takashi Miike/ Fruit Chan and Chan Wook Park

Do you mean Ping Pong (uk.imdb.com/tit…58/)? It's Japanese not Korean but certainly worth a watch and a pretty good laugh.

Liking the Korean film love here, I probably haven't seen enough as I know a bit of Japanese and so tend to go J rather than K when it comes to Asian film. Brotherhood is a good watch though, Oldboy was also good though I didn't think "great". Looking forward to watching Host but haven't had time since I posted the deal ;-)

(Thanks for the suggestions mamboboy and RocknRolla et al.)

Excellent film. For a pound!? Bargain of the century!

The best KO film of recent years in my opinion was Crossing, you don't see many official DVD copies of it floating around over here though.
