With the days of Blockbuster and other brick and mortar rental shops now well and truly a thing of the past, more of us are looking online for our media consumption. Whether it be movies, music, TV or even sports, there is a service out there to cater to most tastes, but it can sometimes be daunting when signing up, are you getting the best deal? Does the service have what i'm after?

Hopefully we can help with this Below we've compiled the main streaming services, along with the best current offers to not only help you choose what's best, but hopefully save you a few quid along the way. Sound good? Well, lets get started!

The service costs £11.99 per month, with your first month free, but you will normally receive an offer to extend your free trial should you think of leaving before the trial is up

Rakuten.tv is a little different, offering you access to Movies and TV shows individually, rather than a subscription service for access to a library. The plus? You get access to the latest Movies / TV shows without paying for content that doesn't interest you, but if you plan on watching a lot of content, this may be better reserved for occasional use or the odd rental of that must see show.

3165698.jpg
Play Music is Googles answer to Spotify, TIDAL and the rest, touting a massive music library, with custom playlists, online hosting and streaming of your own offline library, and recommendations based on your listening habits. 3165698.jpg
Apple Music continues to solidify itself as one of the major streaming services around, with excellent music curation and playlist suggestions, radio stations, exclusive content and more, it's easy to see why it's getting more popular every day.

Also available is iTunes Match.

If you subscribe to iTunes Match you can access all your musical content via the cloud. For a yearly subscription of £21.99 Apple will match all the music in your collection in the cloud, including tracks you have imported from CDs and purchased elsewhere, allowing to access your music direct from Apple music servers on all your MacOS or iOS devices.

If Apple is unable to find a match for a track in your collection in its own music store, it will upload the track and store it in the cloud for you. Apple will upload 100,000 unmatched songs - your iTunes Store purchases don’t count towards this number. So that’s 100,000 songs in addition to any bought on iTunes. Anything longer than two hours or larger than 200MB won’t be uploaded to iCloud Music Library.

However, the features of iTunes Match are available as part of Apple Music, so you don’t need to subscribe to both services.

With EE? Get it free for six months!

Pretty pointless thread tbh. The only decent offers are netflix and Spotify and they've already got their own threads.

Fantastic guide! Thank you!
You've missed the Amazon premium music streaming service that's over and above what's included with Amazon Prime.

I think it's called Amazon Music Unlimited. Much bigger catalogue.

Nice post. Already have Netflix, Amazon, Now Tv, Hulu and Deezer. Might see if I can get any of these offers to reduce the monthly prices of them.

Nothing for iTunes despite offers every day, despite being the only provider offering 4k dolby vision and atmos or surround sound and hdr. If you wanna watch a hit movie iTunes is the best place for a quality experience on Apple TV 4k. their 4k only requires 15 mbs connection too so even some normal broadband users can enjoy rich content. It can also be cheaper to buy blue-ray from CEX and than trade it in for another than some services.

Quite right, it's a great service, unfortunately they don't typically do offers that are service wide, and is usually specific content for limited times, which given the scope of this thread, would be hard to feature and keep updated.

I'll look to include them in my next update for the features you've pointed out though, thanks for your input

Thanks. I think a thread for what services provide in terms of 4k, 1080p, 720p, dolby vision, hdr+, hdr etc and sound such as dolby atmos, dts x, surround sound, stereo etc. Did you know the best now tv offers is 720p and stereo sound where as netflix a similarly priced service is dolby atmos, dolby vision 4k etc. There more to value of a service than just it's headline price, Netflix is obviously king and I'm happy to pay a tenner a month.
Love listening on my M$ Zune!
Useful info & good effort. Heat🔥🔥
Nothing for IPTV

The dev quit, there are replacements now such as Cyberflix and one that is currently being worked on that isn't built on Terrarium. There's a subreddit for it

Yep, I prefer CyberFlix though but them students working on ApolloTV have a great design and I genuinely think their app is gonna be amazing. (It's still a bit buggy at the moment though).
Can sometimes get free months for now tv via sweatcoins app. Can also buy passes at stores such as Argos and Currys that work out cheaper than the normal subscription rate (e.g 2 months Entertainment for £10). You may be offered a reduced rate for a couple of months if you cancel and select the too expensive as the reason for cancelling.

You may be able to take up a free month of Prime if you haven't subscribed for a while or sometimes offers are run at certain times of year (e.g near Prime day).
Worth mentioning the reduced prices for students? Amazon Prime £39.99 and Apple Music £4.99 a month via UniDays.
I paid £5.32 for top Netflix package this month by signing up as Turkish account people.
I thought the Tidal deal was expiring on New Year's Day (gone), but seems to still be usable as OP posits.
Netflix - is this for existing users?
