Thanks ordered. I had a free delivery code. Not sure if it was user specific and the email said first order. Worth a punt though.

Heat for the price, but imo you have to force yourself through the 3rd book as it gets boring

Book 1 good;
book 2 meh;
book 3 terrible.

Often a fiver from The Book People - but voted hot as it's a good price.

Myself and 3 of my sons have read these, all agree the 1st is the best, worth reading all 3 but the last 2 are very negative and depressing especially the last. But well worth reading, I got them at this price so 3 books read 4 times each for £5 delivered! Good deal

Heat added, thank you.

Meh! Just a rip off of Battle Royale.. which the author 'didn't realise existed'...

I buy toilet rolls at Farmfoods, 2 x 9 packs for £4! But yeah, this works out similar.

Could you remove the affiliate link from the deal link?

Cheers - nabbed a set!

Have you read both?

They share key concepts (i.e. children being forced to fight to the death and societal break down) but when you get into the actual stories they are very different reads.

You could say Huxley ripped off Orwell when looking at brave new world and 1984, but when you actually read both you see what they share is minuscule compared to how they're different.

Great books

I'm on the 3rd book and I've pretty much od'd on them. Good story but not sure I'd convince anyone else that they need to read them.

Thanks for this

Missed out on this before, ordered! Thanks

Saw the first movie, was pretty good. Imagine it's quite confusing to read as a lot of characters.

The 2nd movie out end of next year, then the 3rd is being split into 2 (out 2014 and 2015).

From what people are saying here about the books the later movies could be quite boring and it may turn into another twilight (started good, that's about it).
