“Joker” centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

Really good film would highly recommend
Such a great film, honestly.

4K HDR, too. Nice one, OP - heat added

Good price for rental of premium title, does anyone know if IT2 has had its weekend for rental reduction ?
Same price on Amazon Prime.

Yeah but is it in Dolby Vision? Apple always better

I don’t think so. I’ve been keeping an eye on the weekly deals and I was surprised that didn’t get a weekend deal.
Superb film
ok I wouldn't pay the £4.99 they were originally asking but I'll bite at £2.99. This weekend only though.

Unless you don't have the Apple TV box.

But you have 30 days to watch it and then 24 hours once you start streaming.

I was hoping for Gemini Man this weekend as it’s usually £5.49 to rent.

48 Hours once you start watching, unless for some reason I've got away with it many times?
This film is massively over-rated, the Emperor's New Clothes. If you want to see this film in its original and better incarnation then watch The King of Comedy (1982) starring Robert de Niro.

That's because <whisper it> he wasn't the real Joker.
A fine movie, but a little depressing.

lol, typical itard comment. So will you watching the film in 4K on your iPad. Lol. If so, that’s akin to driving a Lamborghini aventador 1 mile every day to the supermarket...pointless

Terrible film, can't think of anything as bad.
Superb film. Superb price.
Catastrophically awful film, should be banned

Also a great film! Very similar it's true.

Yeah, its pretty lame, and been done to death, this performance is second rate, from a third rate actor. He's in a comfortable place i guess. Nice make up though.
Awful is an understatement.
I wasn't sure about how I would find this movie after reading some mixed reviews, but it certainly grabbed my attention - very dark but I would be one of the people to give it 8/10 as very well acted. But very VERY dark
Dark, slow and intense ....it was outstanding!
Very enjoyable movie but people on here sure like to slam good movies with their pretentious attitudes. If you didnt like it why are you compelled to tell everyone else why?

Is there a way to filter Apple to 4k or even Dolby Vision films? The inclusion of the latter means they now offer my best option for viewing quality, short of buying a UHD Blu-ray player.

That said, on 1080p content I believe Amazon actually provides the best quality: I tend to see double the file size. So I disagree that Apple always better, but Amazon need to up their 4k game in general, and I like the relative peace of mind that Apple will always give me the best version they have with no upgrade cost.
It's rubbish and drags
fell asleep after 30 mins, woke up towards end and wished I hadn’t. Not a patch on tim burtons batman...not worth 0.299
Not my cup of tea....I paid £5 on Rakutten after all the hype and I fell asleep after half an hour.

Just never got going.

Highly overrated
If you are expecting a Batman film you will be disappointed but if you have an open mind and understand the social commentary it is portraying you will highly rate it.
Best film of 2019
JP fully deserved all his awards for this movie.

You missed the good part in the middle.

Have a good night's sleep and then try watching the entire film before judging.
