Bacon have some carsogenic stuff, butter have some lactose. I would go for grass feed beef and ghee. I don't want to lose weight. I just want to eat healthy and live longer. If you're addictive from sugar that's your problem. I don't count calories. Healthy Keto. All the way!

I drink skinny beer from time to time with 4 carb in it. Check what your brain prefer, sugar or Ketones. People are just addictive from sugar, ut they don't take this seriously..

That's a big difference between carbs. Simple refined carbs Vs complex wholefood carbs.

Avoid the first, eat lots of the second.

The Keto supposed to be best fuel for marathons. Hope you're aware that you are on ketosis during your marathon run. You ware on a ketosis from day one in your life. Humans are on Keto diet from 1000000 years so why they started eat carbs from grains about few hundred years. Why they have some many diseases now? You want eat gluten whix makes you more hungry and put a lot of inflammation to your body. Swap this with proper food with full of nutrition and you will beat any marathon record. Just Google it "keto, marathon"

1) modern humans only emerged about 200000 years ago, not 1000000

2)we don't know exactly what they ate, but it's most likely whatever they could find, including starchy seeds and tubers


3) yes they didn't die from many things that kill us now, they died of infections and other diseases we now rarely die from due to modern medicine.

Not knocking the keto diet, but there is so much guff spouted about it. Like this.
Thanks for posting. Downloaded book and some great recipe ideas. Don’t do diets or scales but developing a beer belly and I don’t even drink beer!

I believe it’s good for tummy fat so giving it a try.

I added too many zeros, but seriously do you really think we eat grains if we can't even digest them. Do you really think that we baked grains few 1000 years ago and eat them causing inflammation?

A few 1000 years ago? Yes. We've been eating grains that long.

Do some grains cause inflammation? Yes, as do many things. A lot of research points to it being much more complex than grains=bad.

Whilst the keto diet is a great way to lose weight, the long term health effects have not been studied that much, so who knows what impact it could have.
