This is a totally unique game that I've not seen the likes of before it or since. I would far from recommend installing bloatware but I would recommend this game at this price.

Unsure of what's been changed for the "gold edition". From the video it would appear to have had a few helping arrows inserted to complete actions. I bought and still own the original 3 CD version...or was it 2. Anyway it's with me somewhere. Would totally recommend this game it's like nothing else.

I have searched and I cannot find it posted.

Screenshots don't really do this game any justice, because it uses a rarely employed (in games) technique of real life video overlaid with cartoon-like drawings, and the effect is astonishing. For a game released in 1997 this game holds up remarkably well I think.

Ignore the "From the makers of Prince of Persia" insert at the start of the trailer. As always it's irrelevant what games the makers have done before. Silly way of deciding a purchase.

"What??? You mean we won't be loaded directly off someone's hard disk but instead you have to start up a separate application and then you play our game? Do you think I'm stoopid??!"

"Welcome to Steam sir. All your games are now not all your games. Yes we disposed of those pesky ownership issues quite some time ago. Or hadn't you heard...."

should be freeware ......................

Hot, because I never heard of it, and will never have time to play but believe it to be good

This game was awesome! I've played it so many times over the years - yet somehow it never feels old.

Yes I believe that it is - adds to the tension or annoys you. One of the 2. But certainly makes it different.

The amazing thing is that there's a "special edition" of this game!

Planned to do that very rarely done thing and give my money to Valve when I got home tonight. Not now.

Hmmm not sure how to take that. Why is it amazing? You thought this game was rubbish?

On the contrary, I adore the game... but it's not very famous and not many people know about it, I didn't expect a "special edition" on modern systems. I still have the original discs (3 or 4 of them I think) and they work on my Vista, so I'm sorted, but I voted hot regardless.

The compatibility is always an issue with a great many older games. That's why I love Gog.com. Really seems to be "by gamers for gamers", as opposed to "by Valve, for Valve".
