    Really enjoyed this show on the whole. Some of the acting is terrible, the story very predictable (especially as you go on given that each season follows a roughly similar pattern) and it doesn't have the grandeur/panache of Game of Thrones or other bigger budget productions. It still has a lot of charm though. A lot of the set, costume and makeup design is great, quite a few really likeable characters and you start to really root for Uhtred and get immersed in his journey. If anything it's also an incredibly watchable history lesson!

    Very good show, just stick with it. His accent was a bit at first but not sure what I was expecting.

    Absolutely immersive, gets better by series. I generally cant be bothered with TV but really liked this..
