This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Enter the voucher at checkout and it takes off £5 from the already pretty cheap (relatively) £44.95, reducing it to £42.70. Here's another tip, though, I just created an account with TheGameCollection just now to buy this and, I think as part of the account creation process, it gave me 400 'points' automatically just for that. I discovered that you can then spend 100 of these points on the purchase at checkout, reducing the game even further to £42.45. I've yet to see anyone get it any cheaper than that but I'm pretty happy with it!
I assume this voucher only lasts for the weekend though, so best hurry up!

I don't get what the problem is here? I found this website because I started searching a few days ago to find The Last Of Us 2 for as cheap as possible. After a long search, I eventually found the deal, now expired, that was posted on here in January for The Last Of Us 2 for £42.70 and it's because of that that led me onto finding out that they were doing the same deal again today. The deal probably has been posted elsewhere, but I've posted it here so people, like myself a few days ago, who're searching for the cheapest version of this specific game can find it easily, which they wouldn't otherwise be able to do as easily because the deal wasn't listed under 'The Last Of Us 2 Deals' until I posted it here. If I was searching for the cheapest version of The Last Of Us 2, I wouldn't have found it.

And at least I've personally added something, trick or deal, whatever you want to call it, which as a result has reduced the price even further to the point that I haven't seen this game displayed for cheaper.

Ultimately, if people get the game for as cheap as they can do, then it's all good as far as I'm concerned, so it doesn't matter if the code is posted elsewhere, for individual games or whatever. The more exposure the better, especially considering it's a great deal that doesn't last long. A lot of people seem to have found the deal, that might not have otherwise, because I specifically posted it in connection with this single game and that's all I care about. It's a good deal that helped me so I wanted to make sure other people looking for The Last Of Us 2 at the cheapest price can find it and get the same deal as me, so I'm pretty happy with that.

I've never seen anyone mention the £42.45 trick before, so as long as it helps people get it even cheaper I'm happy.

It wont be remastered for PS5, theres no need, the PS5 is based on similar architecture as PS4. What may happen is that there will be a PS5 patch that PS5 owners can download, much like how PS4PRO owners get patches for some PS4 games to take advantage of the extra power it has.

TLoU received a remaster because the PS3 version's code cant run of PS4 architecture. PS5 will be back compatible so that wont be an issue here. They could've done a patch but that wouldn't have done it justice.

Companies are not going to go to the expense of developing two different versions of the same game concurrently, especially when one of them will have a much small user base, or none at all yet depending on the date.

It's much easier and cheaper to produce a future patch and charge for it (or not). That's how it was at the start of this gen. I remember paying £10 for a PS4 patch of the PS3 version of Battlefield 3.

Voted hot. I know pre-order posts get some stick but come launch day this will easily be £50-55 everywhere. The PS4 exclusives hold their value for a good few months after release.

Jeez, I am going to have one hell of a gaming few months with Mount and Blade Bannerlord, Resident Evil 3 and Last of Us 2 is it sad to take time off work just to play these games?
I'm coming Ellie and together we'll kill them all

I've gone for the statue edition myself. I was also a little underwhelmed about the guitar thing and had considered cancelling - but stuck with it as ultimately it's the sequel to the best video game I have ever played. The guitar has grown on me a little. Most statues are very generic with a gun, knife or bow - I think it's pretty cool to have something unique for a change. Besides, I was always gutted about missing the statue edition from the first game, so I'd have gone for this even if it was a statue of a clicker's turd.

Amazon's special edition at £59.99 is good, although I think it can be had for £53.99. On the product page I see an ad to get a £6 bonus credit when you buy an Amazon gift card, click this and apply for the promotion. I've not done this for the game as I have the statue one ordered from Game, but it would certainly be my second choice.

Haha I’ve got them many statues in my games room I have to select ones good enough to knock old ones off their perch! So for me it was a pass this time. No promotion for me either, maybe I’ve had it another time?
Will there be a ps5 version on release?

Will there be a ps5 version on release?

Short answer: Nobody knows.

Long answer: Probably not for release. The remastered version of the 1st game released 8-9 months into PS4's life so I'd expect a bit of a wait.
This is £39 at shopto.
I have it pre ordered from smyths for £39.99 since 8/11/2018

You're probably not, but I'm certainly not waiting a year or more for the possibility of re-release. The risk of spoilers alone in that time is huge.
even cheaper : (thanks, heat added)39959411-NmLyI.jpg

That's how I think it should go, more or less. I don't think they ought to charge for a ps5 patch but i'd take it over the alternative.

Not at all. Work is an inconvenience but it allows me to spend loads of money on my hobby.
Will it be delivered on launch? I am tempted to cancel my amazon order, but would be gutted if it wasn't delivered on day one.

Good question, I was curious about that as well. It says 'Pre-orders will usually be dispatched 1-2 working days before the official release date shown above. Please note: Release dates are subject to change. Deliveries to destinations in the UK usually arrive within 1-2 working days after the order is dispatched with the vast majority arriving on the next working day.' and it's apparently delivered 'FREE UK First Class delivery' so, I'd assume it'd be delivered on launch (Well, I hope so anyway) but I guess you'd have to make your own judgement. If Amazon are certain to deliver it day one and the cost isn't much more it might be worth sticking with them just to be sure, but it's up to you.
