Following the guidance of an unseen voice, Link encounters a new test: the Divine Beast Tamer's Trial. Take hold of the One-Hit Obliterator to clear out monster encampments, discover new shrines, conquer a huge dungeon and more. Overcoming all these obstacles will earn you the power to call upon the Master Cycle Zero.

Additionally, help the travelling bard Kass complete an unfinished song left behind by his mentor. Better still, Kass is also inspired to write some verses of his own, revealing scenes from the Champions' and Princess Zelda's past that even Link never knew of. And what exactly could Kass's mentor's song be...?

What price is it normally?

Having been a lifelong Zelda fan BOTW felt like an empty husk of a Zelda …Having been a lifelong Zelda fan BOTW felt like an empty husk of a Zelda game. A beautiful tech demo with a vague plot designed to point you to the next area. No memorable characters, repetitive temples, no proper dungeons, no stand out set pieces, hell no proper fishing! Unforgivable!I finished it and did the majority of the temples but not sure the DLC fixes any of the flaws, just gives more of the same.

I disagree totally...... I have played every Zelda since the Gameboy and BOTW is superb, challenging puzzles within the massive amount of shrines, exciting combat with a wide array of weapons and foes and a real feeling of complete freedom to explore Hyrule. Loved each and every minute of it, the best Zelda to date and cannot wait for a true Zelda made for Switch in the future

Loved the base game, but is the dlc really worth £13?

If you access the expansion pass from the store on the Switch it changes to £13.49. I have just purchased it myself.
Great, I'm almost ready to face Gannon so good timing for this
South Africa account works out 10.90 with Revolut
With revolut and South Africa acc work out around 10.90
Does anyone know if I bought this from the South African store, will it work with my UK copy of the game? Thanks

Thank you. Yes I'm aware of the credit thing, I use the other store regions often, just was wondering about how the dlc works.

Is this worth it? I completed the game a few months ago, is there a new story or just outfits and shrines?

Something I’ve wondered about: If I’ve got a UK copy of a game, can I assign the gold points to any region, or does it have to be UK?
Forgot I had gold points. Got it for £11.
Don’t buy if you want more story, your going to be disappointed. Do buy if you want more Zelda gameplay and harder challenges.
Will this also include any future DLC they may release, like a regular season pass would?

No plans for future DLC unless they very unexpectedly announce something next year.

I'd really like to know the answer to this too.
Wasn't this already posted ?
From memory, this includes:

3 Chests with neat items in them
Several new armour items (hidden around the Hyrule)
The Master Sword trials
Master Mode (A hard difficulty for the game, getting it's own new save)
The Hero's Path (showing everywhere you have been on the map, as you travelled it, over the last ~200 hours of gameplay)
A travel medallion that lets you teleport to whatever destination you lay it, and a saddle that lets you teleport your horse to you.

Not really new story, but you get 4 more shrines on the starting plateau that you can challenge using the SPOILERS "one hit obliterator" weapon; it defeats all opponents in 1 hit, but leaves you with only 1 hit point yourself (and cannot be unequipped until all 4 shines are defeated). This was my favourite part (along with the master sword trials) as getting into and through these shrines with only 1 hit points is quite tricky, you also get an extra boss fight and a cool/fun prize at the end.

I never did master mode, but this DLC still added many more hours of enjoyment onto this (already very long) game.

It's been a little while since I played it, but from memory it felt like more outfits and shrines than more story. I enjoyed it though because it kept me playing the game a little longer. There's a new hard mode, where all enemies get upgraded. Trial of the sword, which is basically a challenge mode where you clear an area of progressively challenging enemies with very little equipment / inventory. There's a handful of side quests and some extra gear to find. There's a loose bit of story which basically joins together maybe a dozen or more new shrines, during which you have to re-enter the divine beasts and defeat an imaginary incarnation of the Gannon bosses that you originally defeated (the same boss with a weird filter on it). There is then a new divine beast style area and a decent boss to defeat, which is the best bit. If you defeat the boss, you get a cool motorbike that you can summon anywhere. If you enjoyed the game, then for £13 I think you'll enjoy the DLC. I'll be the first to admit it lacks the wow factor a bit though.

Thanks for the explanation. Sounds alright for £13 quid, sure it'll keep me busy for a few hours
Erh... I'm probably going to to get a response to this question just saying "go and play it now dude" I only bought a switch last week and Zelda. I've not had a chance to play Zelda yet, it's actually still sealed. So I have no idea want shrines are or the challenges are so is this worth picking up as a noob?

I played 100 hours of the base game before picking this up. If I was in your position, I'd keep hold of my money for now. There's a heck of a lot to be getting on with in the base game.
ok dlc not what i was expecting though

You are so lucky to have not yet had the chance to play IMO the greatest game ever made, no need for the DLC yet, you have many adventures ahead of you before you need consider the expansion....

Yes, I own a few buts on switch that aren't installed. Once you buy it, it is your purchase to use when you want.
