If you haven't played it you wouldn't understand. I had 30 hours in this game before I even started main story. And I finished it with 150 hours played and without completing all the side quests. It's a vast and deep adventure. Well worth £30, and I wasn't even a Zelda fan when I got it.

Bargain. Comes up at £36 before check out. Will discount before you buy.
Best price I’ve seen for this game
Nice nice very nice. Must have for any switch owner!
Unbelievable the price considering it was a launch title. But this is the best price I've seen in a while. Hot.
Best single player game I've played in a long long time. Was gutted when I finished it tbh. If I get round to adding the DLC, I'll just start a new game and do it all over again with the bonus of the Korok mask. Well worth the 60+ hours!
Brilliant price op, been holding out for this. Ordered and heated 😘
Any other switch game deals about?
It won't let me add either one to my cart, so it's oos?

Gone
Ordered, awesome price, been waiting a while for this to get down in price. Cheers OP
Would CEX still take this after I've finished it?
It doesn't matter that its from germany does it?
Congrats on everyone who got one.

I think all the Zelda BOTW carts have German writing on, happy to be corrected
Goddamit, I was too slow! Well done to the peeps that snagged it - awesome price. Ill just play my Wii U copy for now

I don't think they'd take it but can easily sell on ebay.

So just because you ploughed 30 hours into a game makes it worth £30 3 years after release?

Going by that logic... I might as well just buy the digital version of Final Fantasy VII on PS1 (in 2019) for £60. Because I spent 60 hours on it.

I spent 150 hours total on Zelda BOTW. 30 hours before starting any quests as there is so much else to do and I was just exploring until then.

The standard price was £44 on amazon last night and its worth every penny. Even better game if you buy the DLC from the outright as it gives you some items which are useful from the beginning.
I got my copy sealed for £32 by setting up an eBay keyword alert and snagging a Bin bargain.

They take them. As long as its region free, which it is...they take it.

Bought and sold lots of European stuff over the years. Never a problem.
How come amazon Germany get 20% off games and we dont

You know... I played the new Terminator game. I spent 3 days on what is supposed to be a 10-odd hour campaign.

I don't understand as to how people can spend 150 hours on a game. Like... how many days is that?

On a long enough timeline... Imagine what one could have achieved in those 150 hours...

It boggles the mind.

So much raw potential... wasted.

This was Amazon UK. But yeah, its just selected items. Had 3 games in my basket at midnight, none do which had the 20% off. Sucks.

Just seen German and assumed. Ah well, hopefully they'll extend it to everything later in the week. (Wishful thinking)

I agree.... But at least this game is in 3d... look at the kind of price they want for a remaster of links awakening.....

Ive a bigger problem personally with 2d 8 and 16 bit 'homages', particularly with roguelikes and Zelda rip off rpgs being the majority of the recommended games on this platform. A handful of games like this is fine, some like inside are truly exceptional, but someone who knocks together a decent roguelike in his bedroom wants me to pay him the same amount to own his game as a company like Rockstar or CD project Red with 100s developers developing a large detailed game over the course of 2-5 years.

It's why I can never justify supporting Nintendo over the long-term. Given that the Switch is significantly weaker hardware in comparison to PS4 and XB1, Nintendo don't have 100's of developers working on their "AAA" games. And their definition of "AAA" is vastly different in terms of resources and effort expended in comparison to companies like Rockstar and CDPR.

Zelda BOTW isn't even a native Switch game. It's an upscaled Wii U port. As such it should never be £30 3 years after release.

But hey, it's Nintendo. And they are judged according to a different set of rules.

My friend told me the secret to stop being annoyed at Nintendo. Realise they're not a games company, they're a toymaker. They won't make sensible games company decisions, they are just happy as long as they can make a great toy.

That said, what they do to hold their game's prices is clearly some sort of black magic.

Supply and demand... ET cartrtidges would sell for £1million if Atari only printed 5 copies.

Nintendo game prices have nothing to do with their intrinsic value.

Haha, I'm a full time live in carer for a family member, so I don't have much opportunity to go out and time to kill. This was over the course of about 14 months, this 150 hours.
Honestly, if you try the game, you'll understand it. You can try it for free on a free 3 week trial from boomerang rentals.

I have the game on my Wii U.

Three years on, it's still sealed.

I guess if you're a busy person and or have a long list of games to play, maybe it's not worth the standard/high price. But for a casual gamer like me with a lot of spare time, I really enjoyed it, although admittedly I probably did spend too much time on it but I didn't pay full whack either cos I waited for a cheap copy on eBay
Oh and I just realised it was more like 150 hours over about 8 months I did a trial on boomerang then bought it in January this year

Are any games priced intrinsically?

BOTW is one of the greatest games ever made by the way. That's not just my opinion either.

According to the opinions of this piece... it's one of the most overrated games of all time.

I edited the above comment to include two articles... but whatever. The comments are endearing.

I recently subscribed to Edge... And hate The Guardian.

Also... I don't need to play it.

I saw gameplay videos... Glorified trailers as it were... Decided I wasn't going to waste 150 hours of my life on it.

Still ignoring the overwhelming praise this game gets then.. I don't understand the need to comment on a game you have no desire to play. I guess this is what a fanboy does?
