As with all Toys r Us deals this is offline only and the link is only for reference.

The Toys r Us website is now showing an in store price of £99.99 for the Arkham Asylum set from the Lego Batman Movie (70912).

As the set is currently exclusive to Toys r Us and Lego themselves I'm fairly sure this is as low as the set will go for the foreseeable future. Yes it has been cheaper but this is the best price currently available.

Obviously I have no idea of stock situations in local stores but when I was in my local (Hanley) last week there were plenty around as they were still £139.99 less 10% - people weren't biting.

Good luck.

EDIT

Thanks to Jamesw306 who has seen this in store where it states 'No further discounts.' As such I haves amended the price and removed a line that said this should be available in store for £84.99

Going to try and grab one tomorrow. Here's hoping they have any!
There is no additional 15% off... It is on a manager's special which means it is exempt from the additional discount. The on shelf signage says no additional discount can be applied.

That sounds more like the penny pinching Toys r Us I know so well, have £90 of vouchers which I got just over a few weeks ago which are useless.
Pity the poor staff when you consider how the top management are to blame for their demise and how well they looked after themselves.
Even on a closing down sale they will basically screw customers and staff alike.
Not your fault op though thanks for taking the time to post.
LOL It was cheaper at Xmas in the same store, no wonder of their demise even their closing down sale is crap!

I don't think they're trying to screw customers any more than other businesses. The job is to provide a service to customers to generate revenue and profit for investors and shareholders.

right now the administrators need to sell as much stock at the best possible price to repay people like HMRC.

Lego is a premium product and some sets demand a premium price, this being one of them. If there was an extra 15% off that would be nice. But it's still the best CURRENT price by some margin.
Not honouring vouchers which must add up to hundreds of thousands at least is hunky dory then.
Has anyone here been to the Preston Store? Would love to know which big sets they have left or even if the store is still open but they aren't answering the phone (understandably) and it's quite a drive away.
no many sets left, store open but lego are overpriced

I understand the frustration but when a firm is in administration they don't have to honour the vouchers - their obligation is to the creditors NOT the customers. I have seen that some vouchers were honoured up to 11/12 March which surprised me.

Ultimately the money for those vouchers is already in the business so honouring them would be like giving things away, something the creditors wouldn't be happy about I'm sure.

When Jessops went under I was left with several give vouchers that I couldn't use.

As for your earlier comment about the C-3PO poly bag, that's just poor frontline service that could and should have beenresolved with training.

Yes, it has been clear that TRU is in trouble for a long time now, and anyone buying vouchers was taking a risk. It was good of the administrators to allow customers to use their vouchers, even if for a short time. I know some people with vouchers were waiting until the sales discounts kicked in too, but obviously they were not going to start discounting and accepting vouchers.
To get this thread back on track, I bought the Arkham Asylum from Toyrus. It was a managers special at £99.99, the 15% discount does not apply
Don't give those crooks a penny. They'll panic and knock another 50% off at the end when they realise stuff ain't shifting
