Thought it was a bargain for such a good film also had The pub landlord live at the Palladium on DVD for a quid too.

Excellent film on a dead format

Good film then, looking it's age now.

Great deal, I'd have bought both but it's not worth the 60 mile round trip to my nearest poundland

Assuming (from your avatar) you live nearish High Wycombe I can't see the 60 mile bit. Slough is 10 miles away....

Love UMD's, have abut 50 of em. Keep seeing these posted for 99p various places but unfortunately never any round Derby

Dead format or not, a bargain is still a bargain in my book. I'm a big fan of UMDs when going abroad, HMV at Gatwick and Heathrow always seems to have some good deals in that area.

Sony deserved what they got with UMD, any company that tries to lock in its media so it will only work with their hardware deserves a similar fate.

Totally agree, it wouldn't have been so bad if the disks had been cheaper than a standard DVD but they were more expensive. Who in their right mind would pay £20-25 for a film they could only watch, on their own, on a PSP.

Sony have a terrible history of locking its formats and them dying as a result, right from betamax (the king daddy of dead formats) right up to ATRAC. Even Blu-Ray, a war that Sony finally won, is likely to have been a Pyrrhic victory.

They have HDMI cables for a pound as well.....

Fantastic film. The 2nd best British gangster film of all time....

The best being 'Get Carter'.

Obviously.

'Layer Cake' taking bronze...
