The Lord of the Rings Trilogy tells the story of Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), a hobbit who battles against the Dark Lord Sauron to save his world, Middle-earth, from the grip of evil. In the films, Frodo and his fellowship of friends and allies embark on a desperate journey to rid Middle-earth of the source of Sauron's greatest strength, the One Ring--a ring that has the power to enslave the inhabitants of Middle-earth. The trilogy tells tales of extraordinary adventures across the treacherous landscape of Middle-earth and reveals how the power of friendship, love and courage can hold the forces of darkness at bay. Beside Wood, the films star Ian McKellen, Liv Tyler, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Cate Blanchett, John Rhys-Davies, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, featuring Sean Bean, and Ian Holm, with Andy Serkis as Gollum.

Copy & paste reply I hope that's ok. - Short version is it seems WOB has an automated system setup for the last few weeks. When it detects a spike in purchases it bumps up the price automatically. The price was correct when posted but the more people buy the worse the price gets

Hope that helps out for next time. If you 'wishlist' it on the site the price should drop down in a couple of weeks as people lose interest. I've seen it happen on things like Friends.

Will come in handy for the one week of the year they are not on ITV.

How long would the extended versions be with all the ITV ad breaks? It would probably be quicker to read the books

I’ve tried to purchase but the discount code only takes of 10% leaving the DVDs at £4.49!? Am I missing something? It does mention buy two and get 20% off I think!? Thanks in advance.

    - The discount codes normally work in certain combinations, and it depends on if you've purchased using them before also. The 20% (2x 10% codes work, but also you can combine with the regular buy 2 get 20% off to get a grand total 30% off using a single code).
