This is the lowest price for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Extended Edition Box Set) in a while - £19.95 delivered from foxy (Cheapest elsewhere is £24). This boxset contains 12 discs of 'stuff' and a whopping 9 hours 50 minutes running time! I don't think any of us will be watching all of that! This is the extended edition of the movies, which contain some great extra clips through all 3 movies. 3% quidco cashback as well.

It is listed at £21.95, but if you follow the link in the forum thread, you can get a voucher for £2 off that price - making this only £19.95!!!

Details: Peter Jackson's suitably massive interpretation of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. All three huge, action-packed movies in one box. See individual titles from Entertainment in Video for greater detail.

EDIT - Just realised there is a £2 off £20 voucher you can use for this by going here to FOXY first! That makes this £19.95 - I'm updating the above post!

Looks like a good bargain. Anyone used foxy before? I havent heard of them....

They have been around for ages, but I personally haven't used them yet...

I'm a sucker for box sets, bought each film for that much seperately, fantastic price for great film. Must own dvd, the extra's are amazing.

Ah dear - I've already spent £20 online today... I keep wanting to buy the deals I post!!! I can't stop spending money!

I bought all the extended versions seperately too Box sets are more attractive, neat and tidy. Also they're a lot cheaper a year or two on, when everyone else has done the same and they're selling 12 discs worth of "stuff" [to quote Emma lol]...

I was missing this one in my collection, thanks for the tip emma!
Excellent price, too!

You're welcome alien.

Just to let you know that foxy has cancelled my order, it looks like they won't deliver for that price. They didn't even send me a notification e-mail, I found that out by logging into my account.

This is my first and last order with foxy, I can tell you that for sure! :x

Original Poster

Why would they do that? The voucher codes are a legitimite offer on their site - and this item is still up for sale at that price???Can you contact them alien to see why?

How is everyone else's order?

I sent them an email, so I will let you know how that goes...

Original Poster

Yes please. I've never bought from them either YET....

It gets even better: they charged the full amount from my credit card and a few days later they just cancelled the order. I contacted HSBC, they will send me a form to fill so that I can get my money back.
There has been no reply to two of my emails sent to this shady company either...
I recommend you avoid buying anything from foxy, unless you plan to run after your money! :x

Update: received a reply, order was cancelled because item out of stock. There was a phone number included in the reply, so I called them, and they told me that they were loosing money by selling at that price (-£1.50 per item). To me, that looks like the real reason for cancelling the order (foxy not making any money from this deal).

I also haven't received any refund yet, but I was told on the phone that I will get my money back. We'll see. Anyway, I will not order from foxy anymore.
I better wait for emma to post any new LOTR deals!

DVD Blah are doing it for £22.95 delivered ... £2 in vouchers plus 5% quidco should work out at £19.90

They cancelled my order as well. Took the money then a day later refunded it!
I've emailed them to ask why they did this? If they take your money are they then under obligation to provide the goods as they obviously have stock as it's still for sale on their site ( price has increased though).
