Triple bill of Sergio Leone Westerns starring Clint Eastwood as the Man With No Name. In 'A Fistful of Dollars' (1964), the laconic gunslinger (Eastwood) makes a financial killing by playing two feuding families off each other in a small southwestern town. 'For a Few Dollars More' (1965) sees him reluctantly joining forces with bounty hunter Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) to battle psychotic bandit El Indio (Gian Maria Volonte) and his gang of outlaws. In 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' (1966), set during the American Civil War, the paths of three loners - Joe (Eastwood), Tuco (Eli Wallach) and Setenza (Van Cleef) - cross as they search for the grave of Bill Carson, home to a hidden fortune. As the war intensifies, the treasure seekers become drawn into a battle that dwarfs their own mercenary pursuits.

The first films I buy on any new format. Breathtaking, especially the stand off at the end of TGTBTU. Almost 7 minutes without a word, with Ennio's superb music building epic tension. Proof that they really do not make them like they used to.
'For a few dollars more' is the standout one of the three for me.. what a movie!

If I were to recommend a contemporary western: the 310 to Yuma remake.
So...youre the man with no name.

That's right! Billy Balthorpe! The man with no name!

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly for me.

Not much of a repeat viewer, but its one of the few films I always watch when I come across it on TV. Even the Mrs doesn't complain

Thanks for the post, ordered, great price for a classic boxset
3 absolute timeless classics for the price of a big Mac meal. For anyone who loves these I recommend watching 'A Fistful Of Dynamite'. It's also by Sergio Leone but not as well known. Has also been recently released on Blu Ray in the UK for the first time to.
Good price but not the best of the last 12 months

Damn it, i've been duped. How do I change my vote to cold
Uses they/them pronouns. If you wish to address properly. It's nice to be nice.
Great movies. It's such a pity that gbu blu Ray has been colourized with teal etc. This results in an awful picture quality. Why oh why did they colourize the movie?

I don't think it's anywhere near as good as these three. It's original title "Duck, You Suckers" reflects the movie a lot better.

If you're looking for a Sergio Leone movie to watch after these, go with Once Upon a Time In the West, maybe the best western ever made.
Once Upon A Time In The West another must own on Blu Ray.

The man with no name... who had a name in all 3 films.
I have the extended cut versions and to my mind they are even better. I am after the blu ray version of those
For fans of TGTBATU don't forget to check out the excellent 'Sad Hill Unearthed' documentary
Fantastic Ennio Morricone soundtracks as well

Down to personal tastes end of the day. Personally Duck You Sucker is my favourite and Ennio Morricones score is epic as usual. OUATIW is also fantastic.

They didn’t colourise it as it wasn’t black and white to start with, but yes the colour timing has been changed by restorers who are notorious for their yellow/teal bias. The definitive version of this trilogy is yet to come and I don’t believe it will be that long a wait.

It was colourized with teal. I know it was black and white. There's plenty of information on the net about the way the movie was unnecessary coloured. They made a mess of the remaster. There a later version on bluray than the one in the box set. This is supposed to be a 4k remaster but it's based on the print from colourised version.
I suspect we are at cross purposes about the term colourised. I also suspect we won't be getting a version of the movie without it being colourised. I've no idea why they added teal but they've done the same to so many blu Ray movies. Midnight cowboy criterion was ruined with teal. Big lebowski 4k was also ruined. Why?

This has been covered many times on other bluray forums has it not?
The Italian remasters are the best. One forum even has American and Italian framegrabs side by side to show how bad it (ie this one) is.
The "usual sites" have the italian bluray remaster with the english soundtrack - perfect.
Pity you cant actually buy in this format - typical......

‘Colourised’ in film restoration terms means adding colour to a previously black and white film, something GBU never was. We can agree that it has not been shown the love it deserves-it would be great for one of the UK boutique blu-Ray labels to get hold of the OCN to do a proper restoration, but huge amounts of money would have to change hands for that to happen. Still, if Second Sight films can do a 4K version of Dawn of the Dead then anything can happen..

Worth every penny!

Worth a fistful of dollars
I hope the quality will be better than my old dvds even if the colour is different, as i've ordered them now

I might be able to get around that a bit, if I play around with the colour settings on the tv

I still wouldnt touch this, would only buy the Italian one.
