Ok, so Play and Amazon have now expired - here's a third one for you available to pre-order.

Box set containing all three parts of the hugely successful 'Matrix' trilogy. 'The Matrix' (1999) stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, a young computer hacker who comes to believe that the world around him is not as it appears to be. With the aid of mysterious subversive Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), Neo discovers that his whole existence as he knows it is a lie. Together with Morpheus' acolyte Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), Neo begins to fight back against the computerised hierarchy which is secretly manipulating the human race. In 'The Matrix Reloaded' (2003) Neo, Trinity and Morpheus continue their fight against the Machine Army - wearing their by now familiar long black overcoats and dark glasses. Zion, the last human city on Earth becomes the battleground as Neo discovers new super-human abilities, although things become complicated because he and Trinity have embarked on a serious romance. 'The Matrix Revolutions' (2003) is the final chapter of the trilogy and answers all the questions left open in the second instalment. Neo is still on the quest for truth, but his journey into the real world has left him drained of his power and trapped on a subway station caught between the Matrix and the Machine World. Meanwhile, Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) is now totally out of control. With the oncoming threat imminent, the rebels manage to bargain Neo's freedom and begin their final quest for freedom in explosive battles within both worlds.

This is following a similar pattern to the HD DVD release - I think it's likely this will pop up elsewhere as well. My money is on Powerplaydirect

????? :whistling:

It's still a fantastic price for one great and two not-so-great movies.

Heat added.

this is the 3rd place now (even tho play bumped the price upto £40)

surely they cant ALL be wrong

I think this is an intro deal and each of the major online retailers have a certain amount of disounted copies to sell. When they have hit their limit then it falls back to original price. All 3 can't be wrong no. Interesting to see if these do get honoured. I hope so, as for 15 notes there a steal and would look and sound excellent on bluray.

Thoughts anyone???

Do Sendit take the money beforehand or when they ship?

what does the age of a film have to do with anything? - i often watch films from the 60s onwards - or if i like the director maybe the 30s!
people who refuse to watch a film unless it's new confuse me.

sendit will probably send it out even if price is wrong, they did on the hd version which should have been 70 quid.

i would have gone for this but it is summer time apparently now so outside time is increased.

1st film was good, other 2 were dog dirt.

hot n rep a trilogy on bluray for 15 squid is good.

i think they mean the blu-ray transfer is better the newer the film.

Any film that was shot on 35mm film (basically anything over the past few decades) will look good on Blu-Ray.
35mm film when scanned produces a picture 4x greater than Blu-Ray can handle.
A scan of a 35mm can produce a so called 4K picture, if you regard 1080p as 1K.
So as long as the original film has been kept in good condition it should be able to produce a very good Blu-Ray disc, just look at ]Blade Runner from 1982 and it looks awesome on Blu-Ray and wait until George Lucas finally releases ]Star Wars (1977) on Blu Ray.

And that's why it's voted hot, you answered yourself.

Like many stores nowadays they only take your money when they ship.

This a great price by the way, I sold the HD DVD boxset a while back because the lip synch on The Matrix was slightly out and was very annoying (faullt was with Warner Bros discs, not my player). Hopefully the blu version wil be OK. Last 2 films are still sh*te though, no getting away from that.;-)

5 pound per blue ray is a bargain

are these blu ray region free?

Very interesting. I didn't know that.

expired as i was typing in card details ;/

Clicked on the link a minute ago at £14.99 registered for an account and it was then showing as £42.99

same happened to me exactly two minutes ago - now it says thank you for your payment of 42.99

i put it in my basket at 14.99 !, then had to create an account, then register a card, then give cc number, all the time re-entering my password and clicking the stupid go go go button heaps

i didnt even notice if the price changed in my basket before i clicked buy because i was hurrying to get it all filled in

they gonna get some butt kicking if they think they're having 43 notes of me for it

i reckon its a ploy - you add it at 14.99 and then just on checkout they change it to 42.99

Hope more online dealers do it...

Neither did I. But then looking at the Blade Runner blu-rays I can see that the fella has a point - it looks jaw droppingly good.

typical! Matrix is my Fav film, and I'm still buying it on blue ray no matter the price!

If you don't have Blu-Ray HMV have it on DVD for £7.49 (-£0.52 Quidco).
