trying to understand why this is hot deal. its been same deal for x amount of yrs

Have been getting these for the whole family every other yr with clubcard points and we love it. Seem to recall the last exchange I did each pass was £52.50 so if they are down to £50 again it's definately hot from me. A tip if you are buying for the whole family upgrade the drivers' one to the premium pass for a cash upgrade of about £30 when you exchange your vouchers for the actual cards and you can avoid been ripped off for £5 parking per visit at all the theme parks as the std blue merlin passes don't get you free parking, so if you go more than 6 times a yr you will save even more.

Always £50?? HOT HOT HOT

they don't allow access to single men, even with an annual pass. you've been warned!
heat for the offer though if your kids are still kids.

What about married men?

Now should I go for this or £800 of food from the local Hungryhorse?

Think they mean men on their own. A lot of theme parks are starting to do this, couldn't say for defo about Merlin.

Cold, not what I am looking for

Only for holders of lots of Tesco club card points, I suppose. So wouldn't class that hot.

The Legoland Discovery Centre have a rule that you must have a child with you as it is purely a child only attraction, there isn't such a rule for any of the other attractions (as far as I know)

I'm new to the club card thing - always been nectar up to a couple of month ago.

is this better to buy when Tesco do a double up on points - or what ever they do.

not directly related to this - but does anyone what the max value of money you can transfer from Topcashback to Tesco - as I have approx. £190 waiting to be moved and hope I could use this to fund the 4 merlin passes I would like to get

Thats a lot of points needed for just 1 pass.

To get full value, youd need to be living near to all attractions to go regulary.

If your a couple, i doubt youd get £100 of vouchers in a year for the 2 tickets- unless you hammer a clubcard credit card.

Max £50 per year (or at least that's what it was last year!)

It was an eye-watering £6 to park when we went to Warwick Castle a few weeks back. Better off parking in Warwick town centre and walking in through the gate in the wall near the turnstiles. That way you not only get cheaper parking, you have less distance to walk because its about a mile from their own car park to the turnstiles. Maxmimum charge in most Warwick car parks is £4.

Cold, This is a standard pass so you will still have to pay for parking and there are LOTS of restrictions on the dates you can use it or you you have to pay extra to go into the parks on popular dates.

The pass used to be a great deal but the money grabbing of Merlin has finally made tipped the balance.

I'm an avid theme park fan and honestly would advise saving your money and going to europe where you can enjoy much better quality parks for a similar price including travel and accommodation.

Very cold sorry

Can you pay the difference if u have a bit less tesco points?

I've been to Disney and Park Asterix - agree that both are way better than Chessington and Thorpe Park. Do you have any other recommendations?

Yes! Europa park is probably the best secret in theme parks, it's a bit of a drive but you can get flights to strasbourg very cheaply with ryanair and a short cheap train journey. youtu.be/dIo…xyc Theres also Phantasialand near cologne. Toverland in Holland and much closer is Plopsaland in Belgium (just an hour from Calais) Europa park is definitely one to experience, it's family owned so looked after and has amazing hotels, entertainment and you can camp too. I'd maybe couple a few up and do it as a road trip to save money.

Merlin have just totally lost the plot, all the parks are generic and they just focus on squeezing as much cash out of you as possible which puts a damper on a day out. Oh and the new opening times particularly in Alton towers are disgraceful.

in the settings on topcashback you can add your clubcard as a payment option

Damn I wish I ever got £50 in vouchers! Doesn't matter how much I spend the most I ever get is about £7 And it helps a lot less that some idiot at Tesco HQ decided to sell all their broadband and homephone customers down the river - so I can no longer earn points off of those.

The vouchers last for 2ish years from the date of issue. You can combine as many as you like to get to the £50 value; I don't think many £50 vouchers will be around!!

That'd be about 14 quid then Yeah I know they last a while. But I'd still not get enough - and besides, I always need to spend them before they expire - not least when I was able to use Clubcard boost to get £10 off GTA V.

Cracking offer! Adding heat

Cold, not what I am looking for

Its supposed to be whether it is a deal worthy of being Hot or Cold, not whether it is personally suited to you. Sometimes cracking deals may not be exactly what you're looking for but they maybe fantastic and worthy of heat!

Not just Merlin but so many other of these big businesses all they want to do now is maximise cash at the cost of the customers experience, they need some real competition to get them to rethink what they do.

We use our tesco club points every year to buy the merlin annual passes. Just one theme park costs a fortune these days. My children love Blackpool so we book a cheap B&B there every summer as there are lots of places to use the Merlin card in Blackpool. There's the wax works, dungeons, the Blackpool tower, sea life centre and the circus

I am very happy for you but I just don't buy sufficiently through there, or through the 'right' offers, to earn that way either.

If you live near an attraction its a good offer seeing as how much many Merlin attractions can cost!

£50cc voucher is around £200 in value and that too for only 1 person!!
Utter madness!!!

terrible news regarding the smiler at alton towers today, alton towers is closed tomorrow just so anyone that has purchased an annual pass.
