>The Moody Blues debut album from 1967

This was not their debut album.

Their debut was in 1965 and called "The Magnificent Moodies" when they were a rhythm and blues band.

"Days of future past" was their first album in this "new" symphonic style,

In 1966 an American west coast group called "Love" released an album with an anti drug song on it called "Signed DC".

If you listen to this song it sounds a lot like Nights in White Satin.

Cant find a good recording of it on the web, here is a poor live recording, but you can hear how similar it is to Nights in White Satin (starts about 30 seconds in)

You can also hear 25 seconds of it here. Scroll down and under "Listen to Samples" select Listen" next to Signed DC

Very similar, which one was first?

Would be tempted if I didn't already have it.
