Correct, definately not the same quality

Disagree...thought they were crap just the same but OK for a quick snack at work

great for my student son thanks

Pot noodles taste rank nowadays, not sure if its the reduced salt or something but I used to love them.

Just how unhealthy are these things if I wanted to have a couple each week at work?

I really wouldn't... but I have no facts

These ARE Pot Noodles it's the new branding the reason they're crap now is that they've taken a huge chunk of the salt out.

As for a couple at work each week that would be no worse than many of the other snackables like Rustlers etc

There goes my weekend

Thanks rich, not a fan of rustlers or stuff like that, and I am trying to eat healthily if possible - so will maybe avoid, even if the salt content has lowered a lot!

No they're not. Pot Noodle are now owned by Unilever and are sold as their own brand.

Nation's Noodle are sold under the Golden Wonder brand (who originally made Pot Noodle) as something different.

Both however, taste like powder and MSG - Wouldn't surprise me if they're both from the same factory.

I thought exactly the opposite. Pot Noddles are rubbish these days but bought one of these and thought they were much nicer. I've only tried the chilli one though.

This is 100% wrong! The noodles in "the nations noodles" are much thinner, and less satisfying.

Same here, the chilli one was quite nice TBH. The noodles are thinner, and unlike pot noodles they're not all in a single solid lump. A bit more like the posh noodles they used to make.

no they're not Golden Wonder no longer have the rights to produce 'pot noodle' as they sold out to unilever ages ago. They're using their Golden Wonder name to produce their version of 'pot noodle' & this is it! FACT

Agreed. I stopped buying Pot Noodles after they took half the salt out - I'm guessing they added some sort of salt substitute because I can't stand the taste of them now. Much like how drinks with artificial sweeteners taste dreadful.

These Golden Wonder things are much better. The only downside is that about 50% of the time there's no sauce sachet included, unless I'm just incredibly unlucky.

These contain monosodium glutamate and disodium 5 ribonucleotides - nervous system poisons. They might "fill a gap", but they have no nutritional value. If you eat them often, that is stupid and lazy.

Bring back Pots of the World - Madras.
Best Pot Noodle ever.

The standard Curry Pot Noodle used to be nice until the "New Improved Flavor" turned it to ****.

Why do manufacturers do that?
"New Improved Flavor" then it is horrible. The same thing was done to Milky Way. There not as nice as they were since the NIF.

Why can't we get the red Cinnamon Tic-Tacs anymore - you can in the USA.

There is even Pot Noodles in a bag now like a cuppa soup.

And what does Pot stand for in Pot Noodle.

Does the stupid Pot Noodle website exist still?

Rant over.

If they have no nutritional value, what is in them? There are carbs, protein, calories etc. or don't they count?

Probably to avoid adverse publicity, because before they were seriously bad for your health (now they are just very bad for your health).

You can buy your own MSG and salt if you want. Put them on everything you eat, if you want.

Funnily enough, it stands for Pot. A vessel of cylindrical or other rounded form. Mad, isn't it.

Perhaps if you ate less MSG you wouldn't be this excitable ??

Noun - Any substance which has nutritious qualities, i. e., which nourishes or promotes growth.

It has calories, carbs and protein. Last time I looked these were items the human body needs for energy, and therefore growth?

Put a small plate on top of the pot straight after you put the water in, then when the 2 mins is up & you stir it put the plate back on, the noodles soak up more water & are softer! (_;)

Its good to see the food snobs/health police are out today.

I have one of these on the odd occasion when I get back from the pub and am peckish. Not very often, all things in moderation.

Got a few on my way home last night, and some more Dave's to give them a kick.

I like these better than Pot Noodles, these noodles are fatter and the sauce is less runny. I can recommend Sweet & Sour.

Yes, these promote "growth".. but note that these are not very popular with athletes.. why? Because it's the wrong sort of "growth".

Sharing information and sage advice is not "policing", it is education. If you want to be a couch potato, go right ahead... nobody is stopping you.. but pretending these have nutritional value is wilful ignorance at best.

Opps I meant pot noodle

These are now made by symingtons in leeds . They are really rubbish the sauce is not thick and they taste rubbish . If these are what we have to buy now i will not be buying any more.

End of the great pot noodle.

I spoke to somebody fron the factory at symingtons and they say they qc every flavour they sell and they are great all i can say is that the people that taste these need sacking.
