great way to get free points, applied for mine 2day.

The list of requirements implies you need to be a company in order to have one.

Or is it EITHER earning £20k or own your business?

It says

"My company has been trading for more than a year (only if you are self-employed)"

So if you are not self employed then ignore that bit, you just need to meet the rest of the requirements.

I got a card on this deal a while ago and it's for anyone earning enough. The deals great but don't make this your first credit card because 50% of the shops I've tried using it at don't accept AmeX

Dont forget to apply via Quidco for an extra £35 cashback.

I've had this card since last year and my card is actually a supplementary card under my mom's main card. It's great especially when you shop at Sainsburys with your normal Nectar card, so you get like double the points! Bad thing is not all shops accept AMEX...

Just received mine so I'm off to buy a Mars bar before shredding it. As you have to go through the nectar link to apply I suspect Quidco would be a non starter but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

I have this card and never use it. Nectar points are poor value. i would suggest going through Quidco and getting a platinum Amex card (if you can). The cashback from this card will get you much more money than Nectar points.
I got the Nectar card as I thought I could use it to deposit/ withdraw money on gambling sites and thus earn thousands of points. This scam doesn't work, no gambling sites accept Amex, you live and learn:-(

'Your application was unsuccessful though no derogatory information was found from authorised credit reference agencies.'

I have perfect credit records but they declined my application. For credit card provider like American Express, declined as they feel like for no reason, does not deserve to have my good business! :whistling:

I did this a few months ago, and went via Quidco, got a handsome £35 as well as the 5k points... So if going for it, go via Quiidco.

You cant stipulate for the nectar credit card thru quidco. Its the platinum money back only!!!

Warm deal

Rawsy look again - £35 for each successful application (Nectar) - I can confirm i have done this and received cashback. So vote hot

The link gives you no option to select the Nectar card......

Platinum only!!! :x

I'm on firefox, first visit to link came up with an error, next went through to the nectar card sign up. I'd suggest trying the link again as I suspect some of their servers are redirecting incorrectly

It isn't uncommon for credit companies to reject card applications if you have a perfect rating. Similarly to mortgages, it's easier to get them if you have at least one or two bad marks on your rating (missed at least one or two payments, nothing major). If it's perfect then they can't expect to make any money on you, especially if you always pay off your balances to 0, in which case they may decide it's not worth the cost. Happened to my mum a few times a while ago
