All items at Next are half price or less!?!? FILL YER BOOTS!!!
the first day is stock they haven't/ can't got rid of, decent/ worthwhile stock is only put out the following day, but if rails are looking bare then they may start bringing it out earlier than planned...

so where did you get this from??? where is this online sale???
full prices are still showing
Not voted yet, but if it doesnt appear online in the next 30 minutes then it's a cold vote due to not existing
I can't see it. Brrrrrr. Cold in here as well as outside today.
Doesn't it start tomorrow? I had my VIP slot yesterday and thought it said sat for online sale?
hmmmmmmmm, brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

is the http://www.next.co.uk/offers a different sale?

thats old sale, been there for ages

Am I missing something? There don't appear to be any links off the main site for this sale. I always thought they used that, rather useless, offers site for when they had a sale?

Rob
I had a VIP slot yesterday but didn't find anything I wanted to order - this is just their mid season sale so never a great range of stuff you'd actually want. The best sales are the Christmas one and the July one as that is when they get rid of most of their stock. I never end up buying very much from the two mid season sales (March I think and September).

I too thought the public online sale started on Saturday but could have been wrong.

Waste of time.
You'll be lucky i got vip slot on wednesday and there was not much left except if you want curtains!
It starts at 20:00 hrs online not 08:00 hrs.
I had a VIP slot wednesday, wasn't much on there tbh, had a few things, but their mid season sales are usually quite poor.
all the good stuff gets nabbed by next employees, they get first dibbs plus 25% off sale prices
mid season sales are not that good
Sorry, misread the ad it's 8PM today not 8am!
The VIP sale started on Wednesday and the site is picked clean. Hardly worth looking now.
I managed to spend £278 in the my V.I.P slot yesterday morning propping my eve lids open with match sticks after a night shift whilst browsing.......oO

Not true, I used to work for Next Retail and the staff/management don't care what goes out on the shopfloor. As long as by the end of the weekend, the store looks as empty as it possibly could. If anything, the rubbish stays in the back to reward people that waited in the queue with the better stuff.

The trick is to go into store the day before the sale and check the price ticket, if the item is on sale, it will be 'shadow marked' with the new price in pencil which makes it easier for the people overnight to put the sale price tickets on. Buy what you want and take it back a couple of days after the sale to get back the difference. They have to give you the difference as they promise this if the product you buy goes on sale within 28 days of purchasing it. This is more relevant during July and Xmas sale but some stores may use the shadow marking during mid season sales too.

Wrong about the 25%

Staff only get 25% off the full retail price and if the sale price is less than 25% of the retail price then zero discount.

Not at their head office - they get 25% off sale

as did i, with the other overnight people, but this could be down to individual store preference. can't see any store holding back 100 tops that haven't sold for 4 months, its a case of get it out get it gone (& get it back in 3days), the good stuff will sell, c**p won't. a

as for shadow ticketing.....never heard of that one (neither does a friend who still works there). as for sale stuff, its already swing ticketed with sale prices on in the stockrooms, up to a week before hand so its less hassle the night before (& great for getting a private viewing of the bargains to be had)
Just a quick heads up guys, if you dont want to buy a lot - the site is still offering free store collection on sale items
