I have an XL Triclimate - North Face are slightly generous fit (very slightly) and large would have been fine - To be honest the diff between large and XL is minimal. Best to try them on to be sure.

I would say they come up a tiny bit on the large size but not much.

Got a go outdoors catalogue through the door because I have that discount card I think, gives you a 30% discount voucher for north face on the 10th-11th december.so might get this jacket at a good price.

great jacket (full stop)

Is this quite thick? I seen a few North Face jackets and some felt uncomfortably thick to me. I mean we aren't in Canada you know. I know that the inner fleece can be removed but then you just get a waterproof.

Not really that thick, decent uk winter coat but not suitable for proper cold climates.

That's what I'd figured, well, thanks for replying.

Went and picked up a grey one in large, I am usually an XL but that was too big and I usually prefer black but I preferred the grey in the flesh.

Cheers Gadgetfr34k for the heads up

ps they had plenty of S/M/L in grey and black but only XL in black at the Pudsey store, that they had out anyway.

Personally I would go for the grey, black in this coat is very drab due to the layers.

bought black, and voted hot.

Is the Bantum from Cotswolds just as good as the evolution?

Looks similar, guess it depends what you fancy as an inner lining. Only available in Small from what I can see.

Just bought it tonight and tested it in the downpour, very warm and completely waterproof, highly recommended.

Bought.... very nice jacket.
