Some people say it's fake on questions and reviews.
Last year we bought Tommy Hilfiger from Amazon and yes, the logos were at different places and stitching was different than original tommy store so seems Amazon selling faulty goods

Personally I'm not as bothered about it being fake as bothered about walking around looking like I paid good money to have advertise a brand. A poor quality brand at that now.
For anyone purchasing, please note that this is the non-insulated version.

I have read on American forums so not sure it applies here in UK but amazon warehouses doesn’t differentiate between 3rd party sellers stock and their own stock, so sometimes you end with fake.

If someone works in an Amazon warehouse they could possibly shed more info on this.
Every burglars dream!

Pretty standard for TNF. I read somewhere that it's that way round to stop you zipping other fleeces into their jackets etc. Been wearing TNF for so long i got used to it and it actually felt weird when i bought another jacket from somewhere else that was the normal way round.

Things were generally cheaper in 2017, for e.g. 4 pints milk was under £1 but over £1

So send it back and get full refund the millions of items sold on amazon the odd one batch may slip through the net.
Paid around this price in June. Note snow rock+ shops price match amazon as well as all online shops so if you want to try and buy at the same online price pop in store....thats what i did and the jacket has done a cracking job in these random downpours! Wish it was a little longer though...

It isn't what it was 20 years ago when it decided to go down the fashion route, including putting the company's logo on the rear of the jackets too in a move popular with the shopping mall outdoor types.

I recall they also fake loads of images showing people wearing their stuff and posted them on places like Wiki in the hope it would improve their search engine ratings. Totally sold out the brand, next step is a sell off to Sports Direct I suspect like so many other well respected brands - they become pigs in lipstick
Have seen North Face Men's resolve Insulated 59.98 in Costco(Grays) last week, remember the insulted version is better then normal resolve jacket..

anything but the branding!
A lot of American brands including Nike and The North Face have the zipper on the other side compared to what us Brits are used to. Its just how Americans design clothing I think.

"Dispatched from and sold by Amazon" so I highly doubt you're correct, if it was a third party seller then possibly.

It stems from victorians I believe. Men would dress them selves, and as such use their right hand (majority right handed) to do zips up. Women (wealthy) had servants to dress them and they did the zips up. And so zips were made right handed for the servant doing the zip up. Which works out the wrong way if right handed when doing up yourselves.

And I think top brands just continued the tradition.

I think it was on QI
