Alright after recent discussion in the forums I figured we should have a bargain alert thread. There's sites out there that have an automated scraping system that takes info from several merchants but I know the eyes and ears of HUKD members will beat those prices handily. HUKD members know the merchants, the vouchers, the cashback, the best way to get a bargain
If you spot a Wii bargain please submit it as a normal deal but also put a post in this thread. That way members can subscribe to just this thread if they want. Also, when you submit the deal put "wii bargain" as a tag. That way members can create a custom Deal Alerts RSS feed for that tag.

Let's keep this to prices, not Specs etc
It looks like Boots will be cheapest after points etc but will need help calculating that as I never bought from Boots online and no diea how many points/value etc
Thank You to Admin, gd_miester, emmajk42, rayman for discount info
:pirate: CJ :pirate:
PCWorld = 6% Quidco + 5% YAW Voucher.
Boots = Quidco + Voucher + Points.
Excellent post ThePennyPincher ^^^ Reputation awarded
Thanks for the info and effort from me too ThePennyPincher Very useful ;-)
Still work at currys and dixons Ray... (YAW297)
Should make it easy for people to see best place to go, people like me who have vouchers, credit with stores like Game can compare to see if it's worth using it on this purchase...
Now do I wait for a Black one to be released...
What does that code discount? I had a look in voucher section adn I couldn't seem to find any vouchers applicable from these group of companies as the value didn't meet minimum spends.
Yeh is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Don't forget you can use old gamecube controllers to save a lot of money.
Or convince the other people to buy a console each ;-) problem solved!
Well there might be the Wii Play game (mini games) that comes with another remote (£40 on play.com but I don't think the games been officially announced here!). A lot of games will only need extra remotes, not the nunchuck attachment too, and they're £25 each at play.com so £75 for 3 more. Also the nunchuck is £13 at play.com so that's £38 each for a "complete" controller, not £48. The prices will go down eventually I suppose.
Well you can use them on gamecube games obviously, and probably old virtual console games but I doubt you can use them on most new wii games.
This site will give you the details as they come
Trust me here, HUKD members will kick the ass of those automatic scraping sites everytime They are good for finding who has stock in but they aren't the best place for finding the real bargains, you need eyes, ears and minds for that.
Well I can't say I have ever pre-ordered a games console like this, but i recently pre-prdered a DVD box set that will be released in October, and quidco has gone through correctly and is due to be paid this month sometime (September) No money has been charged by them as of yet either...
NHSDIS3107
But this expires at the end of the month!
So PCWolrd can get you a Wii for around £161 all in.
]
NHSDIS? Doubt I'm eligible for that any more.
There needs to be frantic discussion now for the hardcode people who are preordering ASAP because they're paranoid there won't be enough (hello), any outstanding deals that pop up along the way and then frantic discussion nearer the date. If there is short supply, the deals will get worse or disappear entirely nearer the date though.
hotukdeals.com/for…003
Giving you a total of £199.98 for Wii and extra game.
Probably correct bannyx! There are so many stores and codes to choose from, it's probably better for members to check out all deals before you buy.
But that's exactly the kind of info we'd love in this thread.
A big welcome to HUKD!
I'm looking forward to my £162 Wii :-D
Can anyone who has ordered a Wii via Play confirm this?
It says so on quidco , so don't even try:
Please read the following before proceeding:
Cashback does not apply to console sales, such as Playstations, X-boxes, etc However all other hardware including console controllers and leads are still valid for cashback.
Sorry! didn't see that as I wasn't logged in
All usual discounts do not apply.
I know most vouchers and ]student discount say no consoles, but the free ]games reward card and ]quidco don't have any (visible) rules against it. It's easy to cancel if something better comes along so I'm adding a Wii and Zelda at HMV through quidco with my usual account discounts (games now £39.99 and discounts should apply).
Actually, I don't expect them to honour it, but student 10% discount is currently showing on the console as well as the game. So £219.98, £197.98 after student discount, 2200 games reward points (£11 off future games), and £11.88 back on Quidco. Equivalent price: £175.10!
Realisically without the student 10% off the console, only the game, £219.98, £215.98 after student discount, 2200 games reward points (£11 off future games), and £12.96 back on Quidco. Equivalent price: £192.02.
Or for you poor people who aren't students, £219.98, 2200 games reward points (£11 off future games), and £13.20 back on Quidco. Equivalent price: £195.78.
edit: Or maybe that's all a load of rubbish since if I look at the actual item page instead of blindly adding it to my basket, it says student discount doesn't apply (knew that), "Games discount card" doesn't apply to hardware (even though the "Games reward card" link above says it applies, maybe that's a different card?) and they'll only send it to credit card billing address (which is where I won't be). They should check these things for you when you order.
[*]Added HMV URL
[*]Added applicable HUKD Voucher links
[/LIST]
So the HMV game points are not available on a Wii Pre-Order?
Anyway, just been browing on Littlewoods and found a Wii with 2 games and 2 controllers for £319. (Controllers are only £33, Bargain!)
]http//ww…y=1
Sounds expensive!
But wait!
Littlewoods -
£15 off first order - £15.00
£30 off £60- ZG0333 - £30.00
20% off - XX066 - £15.95
6% Quidco - £19.14
Total - £238.91
I think my calculations are correct!
So basically, for £238.91, you get Wii console, 2 games and 2 controllers!
Sounds good to me!!!
I'm not sure if the vouchers are still valid, but they are listed here and one more thing, this information is only good if you are a NEW customer!
Hope this is of use to some of you!
Great to be here!!
Can you stack vouchers like that with littlewoods? Has anyone ever tried this?
Just using the 20% and Quidco can make a good bargain though.
Boots are going to come out cheapest, if someone told me that a good few months back that a console is cheapest at Boots, I would of laughed
Sorry, commenting is no longer available on this deal.
