Excellent price heat and rep.

I'm glad that's the original.

Heat added.

Why would they put a 1976 film onto blu-ray?
I mean, why?

Well Star Wars is a 1977 film and would look great on blu ray and I think would be the one film nost would want to see released on blu ray.

Dr No and From Russia with Love are even older, have been released on Blu ray and look superb. Its a common misconception that old films cannot look good. I have not see the Omen on BD though so cannot comment on its video quality.

You obviously dont realise that films are a higher resolution than blu-ray :whistling:

Seems to get a decent review for blu-ray transfer here blu-ray.com/mov…iew

Don't be silly! Digital cameras are also better quality than negatives! :whistling:

Almost, I heard that snapshot film was equivalent to about 20 megapixels.

Was that a sarcastic reply or did you really not see my sarcasm?

DO NOT BUY THIS

I absolutely love this film, excitedly ordered it from Play.com a month or so ago. The transfer is absolute rubbish, completely the same as the DVD. I have a large collection of Blu-Rays and this one is the worst I have ever seen. Waste of time & money.

have you watched it all as the review does state the first part of the film isnt great but then it does turn into an excellent transfer.

35mm film has a detail level far better than HD televisions - even a 1930s film will look better on blu ray if a decent quality print is needed.
a lot of people seem to think that films for the cinema were filmed at television resolution before that advent of HDTV. ( wrong people ).
do photos from 1970 have worse picture quality than ones taken in 2009 ?

They missed a trick here, the price should have been £6.66
