That's a thought. The problem is do you want to take a risk and the chance of losing all those expensive games. Will anyone risk it for a cheap alternative.
Also Saints Row III Remastered can be discounted. £5.31* when converted at 2:32am Sun 31st May.

Bribing publishers to only sell with you, thus removing any competition, is not competition. Competing would mean having some reason why I should choose to buy from them instead of somewhere else, something which they don't do. The bribery is bad for the industry and for you as a consumer, I don't know why you'd champion it.

Bribery is still a tactic, shady or not..
If a publisher accepts that "bribe" then surely they would be boycott as well ,
Hell... May as well boycott console exclusive games too

Ridiculous

Reducing a game in price also is a form of bribery...

It isn't bribery, it's called business. They offer developers financial security in return for limited exclusivity. That's very fair. The exclusives can be irritating at times, but Epic gives away great games for free so they have earned their place on my computer at this point.

I think this is bad idea some people have gotten away with it on steam but it's like they cant remove the game

Also when you try launch a game in region it's not meant to be for then you end up with errors
Warnings etc

Plus which wants games on multiple accounts and switching between them it's just a lot work

What drivel are you on about.

Competition is always good for the consumer. That's a fact/

Where is the competition? Epic bribes publishers to eliminate any competition - you can ONLY get it from the epic games store. Nobody else can compete for customers any more.

Imagine if you love pepsi max, but tesco buys pepsi max exclusivity. There's no tesco near you, only sainsburys and morrisons.

Great for the consumer, right?

But its better for Pepsi Max until Sainsburys/Morrisons are going to help them make more money.

Pepsi Max is the shops customer
Consumer is Pepsi Max's customer

You don't understand the different customers -

the publishers are epic/steam customers. not us, we are the publishers customers.

(i know what i mean, its hard to describe it!)

What world do you live in where Video Games haven't had exclusivity deals since as far back as i can remember aswell.

+ also, i have an entire library of games, for free from epic + there sales whilst very small and limited are by far better than steams!

To be fair at least epic makes it easier to remember your account details as you could have one tied to facebook & another on google/gmail.
Epic games give developers a better deal than steam but everyone hates on epic because they are entitled nobody's who scream they can't have there own way. If you care about the developers you would buy on epic and not steam.

If you don't want to support Epic, don't. There's plenty of other games not exclusive to Epic. Do you also moan about console exclusives?

If I could double like this I would
To be fair I've started using GOG Galaxy 2.0 solves the majority of the issues of having multiple launchers and everything is in one window.
I'm happy for Epic to provide competition, but they should have invested more in their incredibly barebones launcher before buying up exclusives.

I will claim their free games though.
Can you do this to purchase games cheaper and play them in the UK?
Or do you risk a ban on your account?

I would like to try this at this price but not at the UK price

Everything when requiring VPN supplies risks to it, however i don't see any issues as such at this time. If you change your country of origin of course that might flag up on their database which could increase your ban risk but as of yet i have not heard of any ban waves from epic.

Yeah, not going to risk all the freebies I have amassed. Managed to get Breakpoint, Watchdogs 2 and Farcry 5 Gold edition for around £20 so got plenty to go at. Just gives you a warm fuzzy feeeling saving so much money and tempting to increase that virtual dusty shelf of games you never get around to playing 😃

Weak analogy. Physical store location is completely different to installing multiple gaming platforms on your pc.
Also, Epic charges a lower fee than Steam so the devs make more profit resulting in bigger budgets for their next game.
It's not like you're forced to buy a whole new system like console exclusives

Valve makes nowhere near the 30% tim parrots on about. After you reach milestones (any popular game does) it drops to 25% and then 20%.

Valve also eats all payment processor fees for you (some of which can be as much as 30% themselves) - epic either doesn't support such processors or just passes the cost on to the customer, increasing the price.

And the biggest one, Valve lets, even encourages developers to generate an unlimited number of steam keys that they can sell wherever they like. This is why there's a whole industry of sites like Humble, gamersgate, fanatical, chrono, greenmangaming, voidu, wingamestore, nuuvem, gamesplanet, more I've forgotten about. Valve makes absolutely 0% from this, but still provides all of their services.
