This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

The Outer Worlds is a new single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

The player-driven story RPG: In keeping with the Obsidian tradition, how you approach The Outer Worlds is up to you. Your choices affect not only the way the story develops; but your character build, companion stories, and end game scenarios.
You can be flawed, in a good way: New to The Outer Worlds is the idea of flaws. A compelling hero is made by the flaws they carry with them. While playing The Outer Worlds, the game tracks your experience to find what you aren't particularly good at. Keep getting attacked by Raptidons? Taking the Raptiphobia flaw gives you a debuff when confronting the vicious creatures, but rewards you with an additional character perk immediately. This optional approach to the game helps you build the character you want while exploring Halcyon.
Lead your companions: During your journey through the furthest colony, you will meet a host of characters who will want to join your crew. Armed with unique abilities, these companions all have their own missions, motivations, and ideals. It's up to you to help them achieve their goals, or turn them to your own ends.
Explore the corporate colony: Halcyon is a colony at the edge of the galaxy owned and operated by a corporate board. They control everything... except for the alien monsters left behind when the terraforming of the colony’s two planets didn’t exactly go according to plan. Find your ship, build your crew, and explore the settlements, space stations, and other intriguing locations throughout Halcyon.

It really really is!
Shame, I was looking forward to this. Wonder if it’s beyond patching?

It's not beyond saving but it needs some work. A hacked switch can overclock and mod better textures in which helps a lot but the devs need to put some work in
Put a roast dinner in a blender and smear it on your TV, same result. A real shame.
A lot of the recent ports look awful not sure what's happened as initially there were a lot of great ones.

It's definitely playable, so I'd say it's still a good game if Switch is your only option (and I do mean only option). It might be worth waiting for it to drop lower than £33, though. I'd say there's a good game in here for £20-£25 - it's just a really ugly game on Switch.
Waiting for the £25. I only have switch and can wait to play an hopefully patched version
Graphics are outta this world.
I played it on Xbox and it was brilliant. Still available on Gamepass?? I saw a review for the switch and couldn't believe it was the same game... I mean optimisation only goes so far, but when you look at the work they did with the Witcher and Skyrim (old I know), it should've been better. Especially for £30+
the framerate makes it close to unplayable on Switch. If you ever played Borderlands 2 on PlayStation Vita, you know what to expect.
Horrendous port. What were Obsidian even thinking porting a game they can't even optimise properly for high end GPU's...
Port issues aside, the game is actually not as good as some people would have you think. It plays like a much more streamlined (Bethesda) Fallout, when I was hoping it would be more unique like Obsidian's Fallout (New Vegas), and certainly not more formulaic than Bethesda stuff. The setting is quite interesting and unique, but the game rarely does anything interesting with it. Despite being in space, it really feels more like generic post-apocalyptic stuff. I was quite disappointed with it overall, though it's certainly not bad. I hope they make a sequel that addresses all that.

Obsidian werent the ones doing the port. Virtuous if memory strikes me correct.

Unfortunately looks like it got pushed out the door before it was ready or the conversion team didnt have the time or expertise to do what this one needed (or both).

Ahh thanks for the correction. I doubt Obsidian would have done better tbh.

Still, really enjoying my play through on X1X, typically charming Obsidian game
Apparently textures were meant to have been improved with a day one patch. God only knows what they looked like before the patch!

I 100% agree with this, I honestly don’t understand why everything was saying this game was the best thing since sliced bread.

Because these days gamers have the memory of a goldfish. Bethesda released Fallout 76 and somehow that makes all their past content obsolete apparently, and Obsidian's Outer World's was the saviour.

The fact is Obsidian has developed far more bad games than Bethesda. Anyone remember Dungeon Siege III?
Nice find and first deal @Mr_lasuil - thanks for taking time to share
