BS
It's been clipped for certain workloads. 3d graphics/cad isn't one of them.

It's the compute side, that nothing to do with 3d rendering.

This is not a gaming machine but a professional workstation for cad applications and although might not appeal to you, will do for people who work woth 3d complex objects and therefore £200 off is a good deal on a apple product and VERU VERY poweful pc with xeon processors and if you dont know what xeon Processors are, then this aint the post for you!!!!

Anyone looking for such a machine wouldn't think I'll buy one now because it has 200 quid off...

A gaming rig yes,, but this is a workstation

Surely there’s alternatives that are 1/4 the price Jesus it looks terrible and will be outdated in a few months your better off buying a cheap pc and just building it up yourself. If you work professionally with computers then you’ll have one from your employer but there’s never any need to pay nearly £4000 for a computer

Its still an absolute monster!!!

this is a 6 core 12 thread machine at £3.6k

I can buy a alienware 1950x threadripper with a 1080ti at this price.

If i was to build a system, i could put higher spec firepros and 16gb/256gb ssdd x2

**** poor sorry .. Anyone wanting a beast of a machine don't buy this
Edited by moderator: "Swearing" 5th Nov

Nope, not even as a workstation, not for this price anyway. It has a E5-1650 v2 and only 16GB of RAM - unless for some reason you genuinely can only use a Mac, you're much better off getting a Dell or HP workstation with a v4 Xeon and probably double the RAM.

You'll probably find that most people who buy these kinds of machines would still prefer a Xeon CPU, but yes, even so you could get more for the same amount, even pre-built.

Errrmmmm nope vega 56 and 64 are consumer cards vega frontier is not and sits with the Titan xp which is also not considered a consumer card

This is also evident by the fact that both cards perform worse at gaming and cost more vs there performance in almost everything else

Like Apple if you want but there are alternatives cheaper regardless of what you think

Outdated specs, even a 3.6k mobile workstation (ThinkPad P71 or something like that) will run circles around this

Yes, the p71 is a good machine but it is a laptop and will therefore struggle with heating issues when under big stresses

Why expired? Deal still available.

Your proving my point though. You don’t need to spend stupid money on a computer. I make cgi anime and my pc cost me £200 works perfectly, hasn’t been upgraded in 3 years even plays Witcher 3 blood and wine perfectly in 1080p

Ultimate computer? hahahaha you're a funny guy
