The Royle Family is a real-life comedy set in a Manchester council house. Imagine a secret camera placed in the living room of an average working class family. The intense drama and emotions of everyday life, such as whose turn it is to go to the off-licence, is set against the continuous hum of the television. The rosy hue of their life is yellowed only by a nicotine haze.

The Queen Of Sheba: In Wythenshawe, Manchester, life goes on as always in the familiar surroundings of the Royle's sitting room. Years after we were first introduced to the much-loved family, however, there have been some noticeable changes. This one-off episode of the celebrated British sitcom reveals all...

The New Sofa: Jim, Barbara, Denise and Dave return for another Christmas special of the popular sitcom about a working class family in northern England. During the episode, the Royles receive visits from Dave's parents and Twiggy as well as buying a brand new sofa for their living room.

The Golden Egg Cup: There's a new buzz in the Royle Family household as it's a special time for Jim and Barbara and a celebration (including hoola-hoops, twiglets and scotch eggs) is planned. Poor Mary from next door can't be present though as, sadly, she has lost all bladder control and has leaked in both the Pound Shop and John Lewis.

I wouldn't watch this crap if you paid me! We really are a nation of scum if we find trash like this funny! Needless to say, the fat alcoholic actor who "stars" in this went on to be the face of Farmfoods, hahaha, where rubbish people shop!
