I don't know if this a good deal or not. Maybe for thus who pay off the bill each month. You do pay £24 annual fee

I workout if you spend more then £2400 per year from your supermarket then you start earning some money from this card.

or £1200+ department stores or £800+ for petrol per year.

I think most of you will spend over that anyway.

1% cashback on your supermarket shopping
Including Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons, The Co-operative, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer or Budgens and including online shopping with these retailers, too.

2% cashback at your favourite department stores
Including BHS, Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Fenwick, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges plus many others and including online shopping with these retailers, too.

3% cashback when you fill up at major petrol stations
Including BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and many others (on spend up to £300 per month between your statement dates).

Here's the list of shops for the cashback

why cold I don't get?

why cold I don't get?

probably because it's the worst bank ever!

if i use monthly 400+ on petrol and ofcourse around 200+ in asda

Has to be one of the worst customer services around!

Because people do not like to pay a fee for a card, my goldfish card doesnt charge and I get money back, BUT no fee. I am also voting cold for that reason,

where can get such card:)?

The problem with this card is that it only gives cashback on certain things. To get maximum benefit you would need to use it in conjunction with an additional card that gives cashback on the other purchases which are excluded from this card. It all gets complicated remembering which card to use for what but unless you did keep on top of it then you might be better with a card that just gives a straight 1% cashback with no annual fee.

If you do keep on top of it then this is an excellent deal.

But how much cashback do you get from Goldfish ? I gave mine up a long time ago because they were falling behind but I haven't checked for a while (to be honest I thought that they didn't even exist anymore since they were taken over by Barclays), it may be a bit better now.

Santander...they very poor bank

Thanks!

The customer service is getting better now
at Santander. I have had accounts with the
old A & L for years with no problems. I will
not be availing myself of this offer. I will
not pay for a credit card and there is a
limit as to what you can do with it so it's not
for me. Hot or cold? Neither

Santander give me a cracking savings rate

I was with Girobank who were then taken over by Alliance and Leicester and had no problems for circa 25 years, until they transferred A&L customers on to the Santander (ex Abbey) systems. I have not found their systems or Customer Services to be any better recently and wish I could go back to the A&L days!.

And gave me a overdraft STRAIGHT AWAY ......when Barc and Natwest seem to more intent on raping me

Agree. I was ex-A&L and had to endure the joke when my account transferred onto the Santander system. Rejected Direct Debits, regular payments being classed as the first time you had made them and therefore not going via Faster Payments, the standard answer of 'payments aren't guaranteed' I'm just glad I still had my Nationwide Current Account to move back to.
I've got a Capital One World MasterCard with no annual fee and 1% cashback on everything and recently got an MBNA Visa with 1.25% cashback on petrol and supermarket with no annual fee.

Although a good deal, I'd caution anyone against going anywhere near Santander.

I cant seem to find them on the barclaycard website, me thinks they just keep reissuing them for existing goldfish customers, new ones are offered BC own deals. I think we get 1% back but could be wrong? (thinking about it might even be 0.5% now?)
