The Sims 4 (Limited Edition) (PC) - £25 at Tesco Direct

31
Found 27th Mar 2014
Use voucher code TDX-YT3P to take £5 off.

I'm not sure but I think Tesco take the money straight away when you order.

Release date 31/07/2014

This is £30 at Amazon if you'd prefer somewhere that doesn't take the money straight away.

What? It's still cheaper than anywhere else from what I can see, so how exactly is it cold? By this reasoning I assume you trawl HUKD for any mention of a deal using a voucher and vote them all cold? Very strange.

If i see one i vote it cold, yes. There is a section for codes. We don't need the entire stock of Tesco posted with it

Every deal post I've seen on here where a voucher has been available has made note of it in the deal, use voucher X to get this for £X. The only discount I'm aware of that can't be specified in the price of deal posts is Quidco/TCB.

Its not against the rules. I just think that people get ***** off with a flow of Tesco code deals. If there was a couple I Dont think anyone minds. It just seems that every other deal uses this code..... but your doing nothing wrong as far as I'm aware

Of course it makes sense to mention a voucher if available in a deal post. There is a difference between an already discounted item using a code on top bringing it down further and someone just taking an already posted code and applying it to items from a stores stock listing that were all full price.

Fair enough - with this being a preorder I doubt it will be on sale anywhere though, and Tesco have the cheapest price along with Amazon - "save £8" according to their site. Looking at find-game the next cheapest is £34.98 at Zavvi, and most places are £37.99 or more.

Heat added for price and the little chuckle I had reading another Jaystan rant

tbh I appreciate deals like this - yes it might be using a code that is well known at this point, but applying a code to everything on Tesco Direct doesn't automatically make it the best price for that item, so I believe it's still important to highlight good deals ! (for example, the Wii U Mario 3D deal is significantly better than any around that I can see when combined with the code, and definitely a deal I would have missed otherwise).

I totally get where you're coming from about the quantity of deals that this kind of behaviour creates though which can be a bit of a pain to trawl through, especially when there may only be 4 or 5 actually 'hot' deals amongst them.. Perhaps it'd be better if HUKD changed a bit, so you could create a deal thread that is based on a code (such as the tesco one), and then within that, have sub-deals where people can highlight the best value product-code combinations, and each sub-deal could have it's own heat for people to judge the deal on. Ahh if I were king of HUKD for the day

Does anyone know if this is redeemable on both steam and origin? (as in it can be redeemed twice, once on origin and once on steam?) like the sims 3 can be?

I've had bad experiences with Tesco Direct with game pre-orders, my copy of the new SimCity was well delayed which in my opinion on a pre-order is not acceptable

Hopefully Amazon will price match this

Probably just Origin. While EA may sell it on Steam, the code from this version won't be redeemable on Steam unless EA change their strategy massively.

I saw the code but never thought about using it for a pre order, even without the code it is probably the cheapest price around. I had pre ordered it on amazon for £38 so very pleased this was posted

As much as id want to play this its EA/Origin so unfortunately its a no go. But voted hot on the price.

Omg sims 4 can't wait to see It

No luck for me preordering this. Went through to checkout and the delivery option just kept on loading and loading. Had the same page for over 10 mins on three different browsers. Couldn't go further than this so haven't been able to order

Ii get seriously narked with the frequently posted tesco deals which in reality are none existent.

BUT, in this case its a cracking legit deal.

I want sims 4 anf so far £25 is best deal.

Now, if u post one now for ££20 including codes then fine

£22.54 for origin key from cdkeyhouse if you want cheaper than this

£22.85 sorry

heat from me, ordered, and with tesco vouchers i forgot i had (but are recorded on their site), only cost me £9.50 Very happy

gone up to £38

Mine was the limited edition. I'd get in touch with them and ask them to send out the version you paid for. Not that there's all that much in the limited edition, but that's not really the point.
