But this is direct from Steam, why would a key be needed?
Wanted to buy this as a gift, but it started going in about some ******* to do with "friends" on steam

Steam still uses keys, I bought mine on steam sale two days ago and everytime I start it it says KeyFailed, spoke to support and they said it takes some time as they have oversold more keys then they have

Yes, to send gifts you need to be friends on Steam, however I believe you need to spend a certain amount on your account first to add a friend (£5 I think - could be wrong)

Best I can suggest is that you buy an Origin key which the other person can redeem on Origin (basically EA's Steam alternative), it's £3.32 lowest price on G2A (seller has 99% positive feedback, instant delivery) - g2a.com/the…004

Seems an even better deal than this!

Wow, I didn't even know they needed a stock of keys. I thought that could just license keys as people bought them. And even worse if they're overselling!

Thanks - not the least complicated checkout, but paid £3.70 wth PayPal and just received my origin key
