Not sure what the quality of the transfer is like but if it has been done properly then it could look incredible.

Found Review On Amazon For The Blu - Ray

Ouch, that review doesn't sound too positive although that may be his setup since it seems unlikely they would produce the bluray with the AR screwed up like that.

Amazon review very odd.........
Whilst the colours do look a little brighter on this HD release it's worth noting that the video is the cropped widescreen version. Tops of heads are cut off

Maybe they should have called the bluray release The Snowball
30 years !!!.........where does the time go.

It's frightening when you think about it
Seems, based partly on the amazan review, a complete waste of money! It's on every christmas anyway, when else would you want to watch it? A 25 minute BD for £7...not much of a deal IMHO.

I usually try not to.
it's a classic didn't want to heat cause I hate when he melts but good find....and be quiet all you scrooges
My favourite Xmas advert: youtube.com/wat…ZqI

I've seen newer editions of The Snowman, as my brother watched it, now my young nieces, on various formats. Wonder why they don't have David Bowie introducing it any more? (As a fan of his I notice these things ;)).
I have never understood the love of this film.

While I am always up for a poignant or sad ending to a programme, it's Christmas day and supposed to be happy and joyful, and in this programme a little kid's best friend dies!! For goodness sake!

I don't watch Eastenders for the same reason, as someone invariably dies

If it's the cheapest price isn't it automatically a hot deal?

(Before you claim I am a troll yet again Tarquin8484, please read on...)

You would think that, but apparently not!

The best "Deal" is a subjective view of anything to do with the product thread (such as the merchant's past history, the non-guaranteed cashback, the colour/dimensions of the item, any comparative products, the day of the week, whether the member voting had run out of butter for their morning toast, or anything else connected/unconnected with the "Deal"), apparently.

A previous thread of note...

Can we please have the rules/guidelines on Voting made more clear??

Specifically, hotukdeals.com/fee…0...

If you are cold voting a deal, it is good forum etiquette to post a note … If you are cold voting a deal, it is good forum etiquette to post a note in the deal as to why you have done so. There is nothing more confusing to a new member, than to post a deal, only to see it go cold with no explanation. If you found the item cheaper elsewhere, please let us know where and how. If you have no interest or knowledge about the deal at all, please don’t vote cold, just move on.HUKD has systems in place to detect serial cold voters, and it may lead to a ban from the forums, as it is against the code of conduct.

Also, "Cold Voting", & the ironically-titled "EXPIRED - Can you get banned for voting cold too often?" (created by a member that is now banned).

(Additionally, see tags "another vote cold thread" & "cold voting").

Incidentally as it's the 30th anniversary this year they're airing a new one (it's on that wiki)

Cold, seeing as the transfer is (evidently badly) cropped and the original aspect ratio is not included. A shame...
Save your money and watch it on 4HD in a few weeks
Anything Snowman is inherently cold

So its hot from me
No place for this in New Labours Britian.

Far too white.

Cold.

Voted hot for those educated before New Labour's Britain.

FYI: "WowHD (formerly CDWow) problems and disputes thread"
I've ordered 11 blurays over the last few months no problems. I cancelled a 12th as it became cheaper at Asda and recd a refund. I use a credit card if that makes any difference. I've noticed some did come from hong kong though and took a couple of weeks, but were what i ordered. It could be they are getting better now.
