thank you for posting.
i have been on a couple of these with my mrs and two daughters over the years and i would love to know how they justify the £15 pp when the minimum its ever cost me is £120 for the 4 of us.
then you have to add extra for the passes for the entertainment and more if you want sheets on the beds !
there was one time (not at bandcamp) we actually got it cheaper by not going through the Sun £15 pp after all the added extras

We had this same issue with cost but when we actually looked direct with the park site it was cheaper than with the sun. Go figure. Park wouldn't refund the difference so had to pay or we would have lost our initial deposit.
Need a date for October half term. Breakfree... Mail newspaper... must be staring soon to as that's the one with the dates for October Halloween week for the last few years..
rubbish can never get any half decent times no more.

Sun is not to good for dates unlike breakfree which is better... We got the April school holidays this year booked in January. Mrs phoned and upgraded all the way last week because weather ain't looking to good. 4 nights. Top van.£230 ish. Done Bidford Bay last October and Rockley Park the October before. Sunny both times. Need to research and get in early but it can be done. July when kids break up can sometimes come up to. When I say book early I mean midnight or get up at 6am and sort it

Does anyone know how you can get hold of the last code at midnight on Friday 7th? We tried to book in the last round at 6am (which is the earliest we can get the paper round my way) and all the local parks were already booked. Thanks.

there are codes published online but last time round i had to wait until about 2.30am for it to be updated. was wrecked but managed to book for easter, 4 nights and almost 200 quid not including linen or passes because we upgraded 1 tier only! not sure how it compares to booking in advance but dont feel like its a massive deal either! lol x
We are off to France @ Easter which we booked via last Sun promo, paid £600 for week in the Dordogne inc ferry -Portsmouth -Caen (with cabin),booking direct with Eurocamp or Park and Brittany Ferries would have cost at least £1000,so decent saving.

Also going last week of summer school holidays in August to Loire Valley, again paid £600 all in,against over £1450 booking direct.

We used to go to Cornwall etc but I think best savings are on the European breaks now.

Better weather as well !!

Maybe check what they charge for easter, I bet its a whole lot more than £200 for 4 nights in easter holidays. Sounds like a bargain to me

We're going to Loire Valley in June, not through Sun Holidays but Eurocamp with a 50% NHS discount through my wife. Problem with these is the standard of the Classic caravans is variable - we went in one last year on the Isle of Wight and it was pretty disgusting...dated, broken, mould, dirt and a mattress that looked like someone had been murdered on it. For this year, I asked The Sun support if you could upgrade, and was told it was at the camp's discretion after you'd booked. So not taking the chance. Would much rather pay a bit extra for a better standard of accommodation.

I agree, have had some awful "bronze" caravans in UK, we always try and upgrade at least 1 grade up,all of the European ones have been Eurocamp based and in general the French ones seem newer/cleaner etc than UK ones, perhaps less rain in the summer helps !!

Upgrade all the way every time. We only book with sites that have upgrades. You can book then phone at a later date and upgrade. Standard vans are terrible. There own staff on a TV documentary said they would not stay in them. Only any good for stag's and hens.
We've had some horrendous accommodation in the UK, never had any issues in France or Holland. Are you going with Eurocamp?

All the European Sun holidays have been in Eurocamp accommodation. However biggest benefit with Sun seems to be vastly cheaper ferry costs, especially on western channel routes Portsmouth - Caen etc

another round of booking is due June/July and another in August, thats when a lot of the parks offer Oct half term availability,
no point them offering it this early as it gives them more chance to rent out the caravans for more money themselfs,
also they have far fewer parks on the breakfree deal

Yes. Daily mail and some local newspapers carry the codes. We get the codes out of local newspaper from our neighbours.

£9.50 ends up being £70 which annoys me but still cheaper than a B&B.

its all there in the t&c's to read before you book so it shouldnt come as a surprise,
also there are plenty of parks that offer no extra charges for certain dates,
ive booked 2 mon-fri breaks under the £9.50 no extra's deal that cost me £40.30 all in (4x £9.50 + £2.30 booking fee)
and one mon-fri break under the £15 no extra's deal that was £62.30 all in
il book a few more when the booking website goes live tonight
I see people comment about booking in the early hours, where do you get the codes from at this time in the morning/night?

You people always turn up for deals that are linked to The Sun/Daily Mail. So, yes, 'yawn' because you are very boring and predictable. We're not here to discuss the politics or the journalistic integrity of these papers, just the deals. So shut up and get back to Twitter, where I'm sure you'll receive a more receptive audience.
