Derry's finest debuted in 1978 with Teenage Kicks, 2 minutes 23 seconds of immaculate guitar noise that has been covered (but never bettered) by everyone from Supergrass to K T Tunstall, Green Day to Busted. John Peel's 'favourite record of all time' was followed by a dozen perfect pop singles including Jimmy Jimmy, Here Comes The Summer, My Perfect Cousin and Wednesday Week.

Four cracking albums showed a band prepared to take risks as punk morphed into new wave and on into electro pop and new romanticism. This Anthology showcases the very best of the Undertones and includes 27 previously unreleased demos, alternate takes, session and live tracks.

And the infamously classic after they disbanded.

Yeah, but the the Undertones reformed in November 1999, obviously without Feargal Sharkey & in his place Paul McLoone

I see on their website they are still playing dates ----- THE UNDERTONES!!!

Scottish Boo

Could be worse, at least they reformed without him. The "post-punk" scottish band Simple Minds carried on and became more embarrassing without Brian McGee & Derek Forbes by entering the 80s world of stadium rock.

Two things;

1) I doubt there have been 1000 people either replying or posting on this thread therefore your percentage is flawed

2) You're an ****.

Sounds great but it's now £8.99 ...
