Cracking price for this monster boxset IMO. One of the best albums of the 90's. And you get to watch the full concert at Haigh Hall too.
Expertly catching the mood of the late-‘90s upon its release in September 1997, The Verve’s third studio outing went on to become one of the all-time classic British albums. Eleven times platinum in the UK and with ten million copies sold worldwide to date, it also delivered four of the era’s most iconic tracks – ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’, ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, ‘Lucky Man’ and ‘Sonnet’.
Now, exactly twenty years on, comes this Super Deluxe expanded edition, containing a host of special features. Re-mastering was undertaken by original co-producer Chris Potter and this 5CD / 1DVD box adds all of the era’s B-sides, the previously unreleased Haigh Hall concert plus further live material and BBC sessions from 1997-1998. The DVD features the full Haigh Hall concert, the ‘The Video 96-98’ documentary, a ‘Later With Jools Holland’ appearance from November 1997 plus the promo videos. There’s also a poster, a set of 5 postcards and a 56-page hardcover book including new interviews with the band and a vast selection of unseen photographs by Chris Floyd, who travelled with the band and was granted unprecedented backstage and offstage access.

Have some heat purely because Track 13 disc1 is a masterpiece.
Excellent album, got it when it came out, but think you’d have to be a die hard fan to pay this for the extra bits!

The Haigh Hall concert aone is well worth it
One album that is an essential in anyone’s collection imo
Verve Haigh Hall tracks are available for free on YouTube.
That’s a hell of a lot of content for three decent songs
That makes me feel old.... Was there at Haigh Hall.
I've still got the original receipt from HMV in the 90s. It cost £13.99 at the time

It's bonkers that's we'd easily pay for a new release.....until the supermarkets came along and started undercutting the music stores, by charging £9.99.

The saddo on me checked on an inflation calculator....and if the price of CDs carried on increasing since this came out, it would cost nearly £26 today!!!!! Bonkers!

Ditto. Beck was excellent and I felt sorry for John Martyn, who the crowd didn't appreciate at all.

Yep. Beck was awesome.
If I remember correctly, it seemed like an eternity before the Verve came on stage.

It was, but man, I don't know if you were parked in Haigh Hall, but it took us about 2 hours to get out
after the gig.

It took us a long time.... We lost our driver and our car...... It was that kind of evening! Think we didn't get out until 3 or 4 in the morning!
